Interesting stuff about Belsize, Simon. I remember reading a post on tank-net (I think it was) about the E100 and it's fate and how someone had asked someone at Pounds and they supposedly had no record of having had it. It never having been there in the first place would sure explain that. Wikipedia et al says it was scrapped in the 50-ies, if it was around until the 70-ies that's 20 more years for someone to stroll by with a camera. Is anyone from that Belsize business still around?

And I have never understood the 'not historically relevant' reasoning supposedly behind it's scrapping. It was a huge tank and you stole it from the enemy, make something up if you have to! =)

I am going to pretend that it sank into the ground completely and is waiting to be rediscovered. On an closing note, I like the fictional Rinaldi turret better if only for aesthetic reasons.

I'm with you on that thought Patrik. The E100 was buried somewhere, turning up when the time is right.

There's no reason why E100 could not have reproduced like the Panther turret in the old Jacques Littlefield collection.

I'm sure it would attract a wide audience looking for something to be amazed and bewildered Reflecting on German madness at the end of the war.

And because it actually existed it would not be considered make believe stuff.

Certainly doesn't harm the Kubinka Tank Museum with their Maus attraction.

As for madness, we had a lot of that too at the end of the war, destroying historic hard target artifacts.
I seem to remember this turret was left to rot outside for many years in the picknic area. Doh

Hello Patrik, John, recently i was given an original copy of a model magazine article published in 1991 concerning the E 100, in the text it does state the vehicle was aquired by some scrap dealer's in Southampton, proberbly there are relatives who remeber this vehicle local to me.
Further interest and perhaps discussion laden i was reliably informed between 4-14 Jagdtiger's were fitted with 88mm barrel's, result of a shortage of the planned Barrel's, Kent where are you. regards simon.

Sorry for the late reply.
No, I didn't find any. But as I didn't run the so-heavy KT much, so can't say it will never be. Only no obvious excessive worn out.

thanks for reply. I am using three models with Olaf's steel tracks (one with aluminium roadwheels, two with zamak roadwheels), and I also couldn't find any excessive wearout. Only the Jagdpanther's drive train is worn out due to misfitting steel tracks.

But some little wear is normal when using a tank, I mean........

Some laser cuts arrived today for the Jagdtiiger.

Photographs below show the size comparison between the hull sides of the Tiger 1, King Tiger and Jagdtiger.

Definitely need to make a lighter kit next !

I'm looking forward to building this monster, I've always loved the vehicle despite its short comings and unreliability. My plan would be to build a complete fighting compartment Inc cannon and one of Ivanos Maybachs! You must respect that fact that it was really a mobile gun that would lay in wait for its prey! Totally agree with Phil. The 1/6 monster, unlike his big brother, will be long lasting and fully-reliable for years to come.

Any chance of some more shots of the production parts etc to keep us going?

It has been a while since we posted any pictures - sorry about that.

Prototype has been fitting together very well so far with only a few tweaks needed for the production run- Our factory zombie, Odo, took a break from posing in the Universal Carrier to sit on the JagdTiger to give a sense of size.

Look forward to getting it completed and alongside the King Tiger and Panzer III for some good size comparison pictures.
