She does look great and the standard pallet really shows the size of the beast!
Good point David, I'm sure Mark wont leave out such an important feature of the Famo body work, if it's left to us to reproduce the panel stiffening I wouldn't be very happy at all.

Regards Phil.

As a lover and owner of 5 Armortek kits I am never one to stick my nose in when not wanted but I guess feedback is not a bad thing given the size and undertaking of this model.

To that end I also noticed (and this may be nit picking) that the rivets in the wheels look too large. I am certainly not complaining that this is being included, as in the past i.e SD.KFZ7, this type detail has had to be added by the builder.

I should shut up really as I'm probably the last person who paid a deposit ………. today in fact ...

Got enough modals to build now until I'm 100! :P

Any time I see large piles of metal... I see cool stuff just about to get made!

Maybe not FAMO... but something cool is in the works!

Cheers,

I agree, for me being too far away from the factory “behind the scenes” pictures are very entertaining!

Watching the prototype build, I'm truly envious of what the new owners are going to receive. The build quality is obviously superior to the Amortek SdKfz7.

I do have a couple of concerns, Why would anyone want to pull the guts out of this beautiful model on a non free wheeling tow? risking damage to sprockets, tracks and those marvelous rubber pads, not to mention bending the chassis or straining the drive train

It is a shame that the gearbox drive on a possible towed Armortek tank cannot be dis-en gauged without a lot of work, fitting wheel chairs motor/gearboxes can sometimes give you an option to dis-en gauged. Though they can be large heavy lumps to squeeze in. as here in the Chieftain.

I suppose if you want to tow an Armortek Tiger, buy another Tiger or two more Famo's just to make it realistic. (Excellent business plan Armortek)

And finally, how did Armortek get that canvas top to fit so well on their SdKfz7, I had cut 25mm off the bottom edge of mine and it's still baggier than granny's bloomers.
