Hi Martin,

Wow! That is some impressing work, my hats off.

Is this steel sprocket someting you might consider offer selling to us other Panther/JP nuts, specially us with Vincents steel tracks?

I have one minor observation if you dont mind me asking....the outfit of the six hole in the outer sprocket ring.
I showed how I changed my own size of them many years ago here on the forum:

Hi Kent,

thank you for the nice words. I am sorry i do not sell any sprocket rings or sprockets made from steel. You can get the drawings for machining from me, so you can order some laser cutted parts ( drawings also here ) and find a shop for machining - or do it by yourself. Please send me a pm if you are interested.
Here comes the next photos of the sprockets with some casting surfaces, destoying milling grooves and some casting numbers.

Excellent Dremel work on those Sprockets. Looks like real cast surface. Very cool work!

thank you for the compliments. Here are the next photos of the sprockets and the rings with all the screws and castellated nuts - also shorted to the correct length ( hard work to mill and deburr after without touch the nuts )

Here comes the painted sprocket with the mounted ring and the track links.
It fits very good - the same space between all sides to the teeth.

there are some new photos from the cover on the rear plate with some weldings and casting numbers on the hinge.

After finishing to glue the rubber rings onto the roadwheels they are ready for weathering.
Also the sprockets are finished for mounting and weathering.

yes i like it very much for detailing. Sorry i don't know if the hatch of the KT was riveted in the same way, but maybe Kent - he is very good in these theme.

Hi Martin,

To late now but the there are no rivets on the inside of the Jagdpanther rear hatch. In fact, there are spot welds that hold a thin metal strip which in turn keep the rubber seal in place - it might look like rivets but it´s not. On this hatch the rubber seal is on the hatch.

On the Tiger II turret rear hatch the rubber seal is in a U-channel that are milled and fixed in the rear armour wall so on this hatch the rubber seal is not on the hatch but on the rear wall.

Kent´s link to Liejon´s 1/16 Tiger II model is nice but not 100% correct. The locking bolts´s outer end has a smaller diameter and is offset so that when one pushes the levers (the ones with the balls at the end) upp towards the turret roof, the offset presses the hatch closer to the wall making it water tight. It works the same way on the Jagdpanther rear hatch.
