Comet Storage Bins Hinged
Comet Storage Bins Hinged
I have been working on the storage bins, the hinges are not quite right but will do, I am waiting for rivets to arrive, but with the top edge rebated into the surface of the top of the bin and a double layer for the front of the hinge it is not too far out. The lids had the corners filled in with braze and then filed back to get rid of the gaps.
The latching system is going to keep me entertained for a while as I sort out how to do it.
I am pleased that David is going to keep me inspired as he posts about his progress!

The highlight of the Model Engineering Show at Alexandra Palace a few years back was seeing the progress that Derek had made on his Comet and the solutions to problems and advice that was given! So Derek, I look forward to your Famo Build equally!

Steve, great to see you and David back on the Comet trail, particularly with all the research you've done. It was always one of the best Armortek runners and the real thing was probably the best all round tank of WW2.

Derek, message received. I'm not that far off re-starting my Comet (and I'm off to the Tank Museum today to find a copy of the Illustrated Parts List). I've got some weathering to finish on the Cent but my new workshop is ready and the Comet has been installed.

Holiday greetings to all.

Stephen
