Hi Gill,

Put me down for Saturday. I will certainly bring a Tiger. How complete would a model need to be. I would bring my 222 but it's at a very early stage.

I will also attend on Sunday as a seller and hopefully have some partsto bring along.

Booked my B&B today. Just the ferry to sort out.

Hi John

You can bring a model at any stage of 'completeness' It is always interesting for others to see part built models, as it gives a better idea of the 'kit' construction. It may be that if not mostly complete it might not count for the Guinness attempt, however I am sure Stephen will offer some thoughts on this.

If you have parts you want to sell on the Saturday at the museum as well as on Sunday at our factory this will be fine, just let me know.

Gill, hi.

I'll just check the guidelines we have from Guinness but as an example, I'm certainly intending to bring my Centurion, which is pretty much fully assembled but far from complete. A sensible guideline for us would be:

- all Armortek models welcome, in whatever state of completion

- will count towards the World Record if the model is fully assembled ie all the major components are in place but maybe not some of the detail.

As of today, we've got over 65 models registered so please keep the email replies coming in to Gill, to make sure we get well beyond the target figure needed.

To count towards the World Record, Guinness require each model to be supported with a photo of the model and a photo of the original (which can be specific or just a general image of the relevant type). It would really help to start collecting photos before the event, so please consider sending us a picture of your model and its prototype, if you have it.

Thanks.

We've also taken a number of entries for the international online competition, thanks and please keep the entries coming.

Hi Gill and Stephen.
Just out of interest what is the figure we are trying to reach ?
Is there a total recorded already.

Hi Derek, we need to be at around seventy five or more, eighty to give us a margin for anyone who can't come on the day. I'm sure we'll get there.

It's also a question of how the adjudicators view the evidence provided by our independent witnesses, hence my request tio start collecting photos of models and where possible, any originals on which a model might be based. No problem if the model doesn't represent a particular original but the stronger the case, the less likely they are to reject anything.

Good evening All,

I will be there with my 25pdr, which will not be finished however hopefully sufficiently completed to be included in the record attempt. Sorry if this has been detailed earlier in the thread, however is there any specific time we have to be there by and do we just enter via the main entrance?

Best regards

Dave

Thanks Gill and Stephen. The 222 is fairly complete apart from details. Gill, I would bring some parts along to sell also. I have not been doing much with parts for the last two years since twins came along but hope to move things along again soon. I will bring a range of parts along to see level of interest and decide then if it is worth continuing to produce the parts.

Update - more to follow!!

Tankmod Saturday 10th

I have had quite a lot of people asking, understandably, about the arrival times/arrangements at the Museum. I am going to be posting exact details of this shortly, once confirmed with the Museum, however there will be the opportunity to deliver your models on Friday PM as well as early Saturday morning.

Guinness Record Attempt/Competition

Stephen is doing a great job co-ordinating this not insignificant task, if you have not done so already please can you confirm that you are coming with a model and if so which one/ones.
(A few people have said they are definitely coming but not said which model, if you can let us know which one/ones as soon as you can this would be much appreciated)

International Competition

We are very aware that the Armortek community is worldwide, with around 50% of our customers overseas. There are many great features to Armortek models, however they do not easily fit into airline baggage! So if you can not get your actual model to us, please send us some photos, and be part of the International Competition. We know there are some amazing models out there, so please send them in.

Sunday 11th - 'Sale and Social'

Talking to some of you on the phone, it seems that some people have assumed they were on my list, but were not! If in doubt please let me know. Saturday at the museum is all about the models, as we cannot guarantee the weather Sunday will be 'people only'! ( well behaved dogs and other animals welcome too!) We are busy sorting out the kits and models which will be for sale/auction and will also have bargain buckets (literally!) full of all sorts of goodies! Friends and family welcome, just let me know. sales@armortek.co.uk

Many thanks

Gill

Trading

I have just spoken to Steve Winstone who will be joining us at the museum on the Saturday with his excellent range of 1/6 scale accessories and detail parts.

We also have confirmed, Dave Dibb (Armorpax) and John Fitzsimons. If anyone else selling Armortek related parts wishes to have a table at the museum or at the factory on Sunday (or both) , please let me know.

thanks
Gill
