Derek,
Your comet is looking great. The cast texture is spot on- even before paint. Keep up the great work.
Best regards,
Bob

Guys
Then some more I have remade the gun crutch clamp so it works.

This was machined out of a bit of tooling plate on a standard milling machine..and was the second one I made
I got the width wrong on the first one...such is the way of these things.

Hope you like
Derek

Hi Derek,
Happy belated Birthday by the way……
I like your latest on going build ups on your Comet, I guess these pics were taken with your new camera!
Also like your other passion on model boat building, superb crafts.
Speaking of which, here's a pic or two I had taken of a scratch built Russian Nuclear Submarine (K 141 Kursk 1:100 scale) I spotted at The Scottish National Model Show in Perth last weekend.
Please excuse my boat pics I know they are not "tanks etc" but I just wanted Derek to see these…….
Cheers
Ian

Re: my comet build some photos
Hi Derek,
I'm impressed you have time to indulge two hobbies. Your ships look great. Do they sail? They look like styrene? Very cool.
I have a three year old daughter. So not much time for tanks. I still have all my Armortek tanks, plus many in boxes. Hope to get to them someday! I still make a part or two now and then for them.
For now I live vicariously through others on the build forums!
All the best.
Bob

Hi Bob
Thanks for the feed back.
The boats have GRP hulls and the upper works are
plastic card all are radio control at the last count 37 boats in the fleet...
I have got the Comet painted over the sunny and hot weekend we have just had.
I have pictures to put up here in the next couple of days.
I have the new issue Skdfz 7 half track waiting to break out of the boxes next.
My son is now 19 and away at University so plenty of time for model making
Sounds to me like soon you have to start training the next generation of tank builders.Best to start them young....
All the best

Re: my comet build some photos
Hi Guys
So as promised I got the paint on the stripped down comet last weekend in the warm sun.

Its seems to have so many parts more than the German tanks I have done.

The hull and fenders

The Shocks

More Parts and the turret ring deck

Turret and bin also swing arms
And last the hull spacers and other small parts

Now I just need to put it all back together
