Hehe, yep there was alot of rubber everywhere.

Thanks for the kind words. Actually it's 35 more, four in the spare wheel holder. I guess that will take a while..

Hi Tankmen.

Hi everyone,
I want to build the Panzer IV so I started to draw the pieces copying drawings of Constructor’s Manual. I do not know when I’ll finish but, since now, I feel to be a member of this Panzer IV group.

Welcome Pierluigi!

Not much activity in this group but now that we are at least three ppl building it might be more.

I'm currently trying to cut bogie parts with my CNC-mill, hopefully I will be able to show some pics in a while.

Took some pics of the parts I'm working on.

The round disc on the bogie mount. The finish on steel was not so good so I'll make them in aluminium instead. I still have a couple of holes to drill in this one.

The mount. The disc will be screwed on, a bottom part will be made to fit under the hull. Two axles will run through the bottom part, through the mount and out to the disc. Hopefully the whole thing will hold together and not be too weak.

I made a mistake setting up the mill on this one so there are a few millimetres missing on the far side, there is alot to learn while cncing...

VENT RH & LH CD0312

Hi everyone
Has anyone any pictures of the above part which will explain the vent hole angles/position, especially on the inner face as the drawing is a bit missleading or pictorially wrong? Not that it matters a great deal as it is against the hull but I like to understand things.

Maybe this picture will help. Can't remember seeing any pictures from the engine compartment though, will take a look.

Hi Bjorn
Thanks for the picture, the drawing is hard to work out as the vents appear to be at differant angles through and the rear view looks odd.

Yep, the drawings seem hard to follow.

This is a drawing from "TANKS detail: PzKpfw IV Aufs A to J - PANZER IV" by Jonathan Forty. Atleast it shows the intakes in profile, might be helpful.

Can somebody look at their turret ring gear and tell me if it is machine cut or laser cut on the model?
