Hi Ad

Thats what i am looking for, trying to see how the rear plate ends :? ,flat or tapered? as on the kit its low, but can be raised, but then the bolt holes will be slithly out :? .

so it may be just as easy puting an extra bit in.

Richie

Many thanks for your photos, Richie, it looks very promising, please keep posting :D .

Being one of the Swedes to get this kit and looking at some of your photos I´m getting worried about the scale thickness of the top of that rear armour plate. It looks like there´s a milled ledge so I´m wondering what the dimension is at the question mark (see below).

Hello guys

The rear plate on the model is machined so as to be level with the deck. To achieve the absolute correct rear plate top angle as shown in the photos and Per's sketch, the top edge could be file back. The two pannier side rear inclined edges (up from the lifting holes) would need to be slightly modified to suit. In all case there is sufficient material on the model parts to achieve this. The resulting rear plate apparent thickness (even allowing for the milled rebate) would be 10.8 mm. This equates to a full size plate thickness of 65mm. Further thickness could be added to the front edge using filler, to absolutely accurate, but some minor trimming of the rear deck plates might be required. Just one of those things that no one spotted on the prototype, and I missed all together.
