All done with guts, stady hands and hand tools.

Hi all!
After some hectic days with not to good postings/pm/mail and thought of leaving the hobby I would like to show you something nice for a change please.
Some of you might think my Panther build is awesome (I hope...) but believe me compared with this 1:6th rc scratch build Ausf A from my good friend Bodo from Germany my build is nothing
Some of you might know about this Panther but most of you don’t.
Got in contact with Bodo only a ½ year ago, he is not an Armortek builder but visit our forum frequently as a guest and I hope he don’t mind showing this to all of you.
Saw this posting on another forum today and as it was all public now I regard this as ok to show here as well.
Simply to good to be kept away from an appreciating audience any longer I think
http://www.mmodell.de/forum/index.php?p ... eadID=1875
Being in this hobby for 10 years now seeing all models showed I say Bodos Panther is the finest 1;6th rc tank I have ever seen!
Bare in mind it is all scratch build - mind blowing!
Seeing Bodos work I think I am not worthy this hobby...
(not my words but Tim’s...
)
Thanks Bodo you are an inspiration for me and a very good friend and fellow hobbyist!
If I ever have my Panther ½ as fine as yours I will be pleased.
Cheers
Kent

Wow Kent,
That is really nice. Beautiful job - a masterpiece. It looks a little like an Armortek Panther at a distance though. I wish the video were a little closer to see more detail. It appears to have a transmission, I like how it shifts. Sounds great too - is that the benedini module?
Thanks for sharing this.

Hi all!
About time for some update on this slooooow build…
Yes I am the slowest Panther builder I confess…but it gives me more pleasure for spend £
Today the front bump stops.
No doubt the kit ones will do the job as bumpers but compared to the real thing some things can be improved regarding its look.
As this maybe are the most visible hull items behind the wheels I decided to give them some attention.
Used the Panzer Tracts books on Panther G + a lot of reference photos of which some I got from Sven Strobbe, thanks Sven!
#1 on my list was the upright bended steelplate and the 2+2 bolts (bolts I made from leftover blind ones from the wheels
)
The kit one on the lhs was, for some reason, made square at the front and needed work there.
As the time vent more and more “must do thingsâ€

Kent,
Wow fantastic rendition of the bump stop! The grooves in the rubber really look like the stacked washers of the real thing. Very nice work!
Thanks for posting photos! Please keep them coming!

Thanks guys!
Your kind comments give new energy to my build.
Steve - Yes it feels nice to finally drop them and move on.
But I have quite a number of different items to switch between if and when I get bored.
