Thanks Nick and Tim.
Nick you did so much on the Panzer IV I know it's just a matter of time before you get around to the interior.
I have been busy lately on Padges Tiger II lately an had neglected the Tier I but as some items arrived lately I just had to move it on again.
Firstly I decided to repaint the interior which had been painted a light ivory. Also I have received a supply of very nice decals for all the little interior details. Still lots of interior parts planned.
Also, Paul Morris sent me a very nice set of filler caps for the rear deck. I had left off painting the rear deck until these were fitted.

Here are Paul's Filler caps fitted. I used the step drill bit as he advised. As you go deeper hold onto the drill though. Almost tore my wrist off. Though I guess most of you guys have fancy bench drills. Also the rear deck cover is much thinner. If you go too deep you will have nothing to support the ring for the cap. Easily fixed though. Great work Paul. They tale away the jelly mould look from an otherwise lovely rear deck.

I have a supply of MG34 Gurtsäckes for the hull side beside the radio operator and believe they are fitted to some type of plate attached to the hull wall. Does anybody know how they are attached to the rack?

Cannot see from these. What are the sacs attached too? How many Gurtsäckes? I have 13.

John,
Great job on the interior details. Its seems a bit of a shame to "put a lid" on them. Overall a superb job. I hope my late Tiger comes out looking this good.
Best regards,
Bob

Thanks for the nice comments.

Bob, I had thought of making a seperate roof from perspex with hatches ect fitted for display.
Looking forward to seeing how yours turns out.

It's nice to see a couple of tanks parked together.

As David says in the link the sacks was hung to the rail.

They were hung with the two hooks at the rear side of the Gurtsack:

Thanks Kent. Those photos are so much clearer. So many are front on. Sometimes hard to see how they are made.

Just back from the Tigers first outing. The Duncannon Military festival where the Tiger I along with Padge McGrath's King Tiger entertained the visitors. Straight to work on fixing something that really bothered me. Every time the tank moved the turret escape hatch fell open. Expected this but now problem solved.
