Coming along nicely. Just noticed that your Jagdpanther is in the Panther rather than the Jagdpanther section.

Hello John, thanks for your mail. I posted my build in the Panther Section because the first part of the construction is around the Panther hull.....with the upper hull as the Jagdpanther option. I had thought of moving the build to the Jagdpanther section.....it was easier to leave things as they are. I have enough trouble with my computer as it is.
Progress is slow at the moment......to many other distractions

Managed to spray the undercoat yesterday, the weather is cold and damp, so, it's an inside job.

Mick,
Like John suggested, I recommend at some point of putting a piece of plywood on top of the lift. The plywood should be wider than the tank. My lifts are narrow like yours, and tanks can easily roll or slide off the metal surface. I screw the plywood down to the top of lift as well to prevent the whole thing from sliding off. Nobody will be happy if 100 lbs of tank slide off the lift onto the floor.
Another option to get it out of the house/room; put carboard down on the floors and drive it off the lift out of the house on its own power. If the motors are not installed it can be pushed and rolled fairly easily.
Your JP is looking great, keep up the fine work!
Best regards,
Bob

Thank you for your replies John and Robert, I will follow your advice. I have obtained a sizable piece of plywood.
I have attached a few photo's. The Clarke Table Lift was easy to push into the small bedroom....as you can see the problems arise when trying to exit, with the Jagdpanther on board the table lift.....The final fitting out will take place in the main workshop/dinning room.......

As you can see...there is no way the tank is coming out.....so, I have a cunning plan, remove the upper hull, push the lower hull down a short ramp, then, use my 'sack truck' to bring the lower hull out of the bedroom and into the main dinning area, yes......

I would'nt dare put photos of the house on at the moment. Home alone for a month. The whole house is a tank workshop.
Sooner the better I build a proper workshop.
If you get a chainsaw tou could make a bigger doorway.

Thanks Phil, I will pass your kind regards on.
I am enjoying this build, slow but enjoyable. Fitted the 'Steve Winstone' upper tool box. Had a real problem when drilling the back plate.....the drill bit 'ran' out of line, I think it's because the alloy plate is a 'soft' metal. Anyway, out came the Milliput.....job done. Steve's parts are well worth adding to the build.....way beyond my abilities. Charged the Comet up...was hoping to take it to a 'Show' tomorrow , thunder storm will hail at the moment.[
