Hello Dennis
Just a pointer that you need to put sounds on a proportional channel ie 3 or 4 If you have a 6 channel. Channel 5 and 6 are single switches. You will have to put gun elevation on 5 or 6 so the gun will be up or down no control. If you want to use the elevation you might have to get a 7 channel.

Hi Lee,
I have changed the motherboard out of an old 40 mhz tx and ch 6 on that motherboard is a proportional channel. Have used it on the Panzer with no probs. Several of us have done it in this part of the world. The only problem you get is pairing up a new receiver but I just solder the old motherboard back in on temp basis (just 4 conns) and pairs up ok.

Hi Nick
Yes ther is a lot more room in the Comet and much easyier to get at things.
The two big hatches over the engine bay are ideal and the top comes off
with 4 screws.
My power cables are too short to reach from the power supply at the front
shelf,to the speed controler and amplifiere at the back,even thogh I have fitted them about 80mm closer than the drawings they are still about 60 t0
80mm short.
I was going to extend my battery cables to the rear anyway so all my
switches and charging lead are at the rearunder the doors.
How is your self build project coming allong,do you have any new photo's

sounds like you still got some work to do .i always find the wireing a pain to do and im never quit happy with the end result
but im sure you can do it .my little self build project has slowed down a bit, hit a problem with trying to cast the tracks ,i think it has got a lot to do with the cold weather so have given it a rest for a bit.still got other things to tinker with in the mean time.when i get the tracks sorted (TUFF NUT TO CRACK) i will send some pics to you ,just dont hold your breath ,but keep your fingers crossed for me.Good luck with your wires and a very happy new year to you and your familly .

Hello Phil, hope you enjoyed your Christmas.
It's slow going at the moment as I fit the many small Armorpax items. I am trying to limit the additional bits and pieces so that the Comet build is more or less complete ready for the 'options' pack in the New Year.
I will order the batteries this week and a motorcycle type lift so that the tracks can be fitted.
One small point...I dropped a nut while assembling the exhaust covers....it landed in the opening to the gear drive, I managed to retrieve it before the damn thing fell into the gears....I have now covered the drive with masking tape to prevent this happening again....nearly had a heart attack.
My long awaited British Cruiser Tank A34 Comet book arrived last week. The photo's are well worth the money, and explain were certain parts are located, which for someone without the necessary experience are a Godsend. Your photo's of the internal options are superb and will be a big help.
I have not opened my 'Options' pack yet so I hope there will be the much needed instructions inside.
All in all, probably the most fun I have ever had since I was a young man....and discovered girls.....Mick

you was lucky with that nut not dropping down into the gear box.
I've dropped a little bracket and a switch today,down into the hull at the rear and there is not enough room to get my hand down.

My Tank is on blocks at the moment on top of a B&Q work bench,but I
have got a lift,see Page 15 on this posting,the last entry I gave you details

Its a Sealey scissor lift model MC5905.V2.

in the hull then its up to the turret.
