Hi Guys
After a year it seemed to be time to get back to the Stug,
One of the issues I had was the gun swivel was to difficult to control so I
have rewired that to the elevation side of the control so I can use the micro switches to limit the movement.

The next picture show the electrics installed at the rear of the stug.

As you can see I have a simple lift off rear deck and everything is under it.
the roof is bolted down and is a pain to take off I am going to make some changes to this to make it quick release.

Nice to be back posting

Hi Guys
I am going to be at Ally Palace with the Stug again this year I will be down by the
Rose window end as last year.
One of the things I get asked a lot is what was the tank like before
the conversion so I am building the turret and the upper hull as a
side display.
I am also going to leave it unpainted so people can see the materials used and
how the models are put together.
I started today and built the hull sections and the deck but found the turret will need a lot of fitting to get it together.
The rear panel seems to be over bent. Is that something others have found ?
I am sure I can sort it. This will be out of the box build only.

The Panzer III turret will take a long of fiddling to get it all lined up.

Probably best to get every bolt through, even if very loosely, then ease the panels into place and tighten once they are aligned.

The Panzer III I purchased second hand had had one of the lower mounting holes extended by around 1/4", in order to the screws to line up with the hole in the base plate.

Adrian.
