Re: Phils Famo build
Thanks Florian, when you get a minuet can you see if your tyre rubs the back end of the outer edge of your fender please, mine is and will need a fair amount of material removing so that it clears. When there's load on the axle it's not too bad but as the front lifts ie, when the front is light or is crossing a hole it catches, is it just mine or me?

Re: Phils Famo build
I've sorted the tyre rubbing issue, A little more progress the front 1/3 of the vehicle is getting there, there's so much to do, this kit could keep you busy for a year (part time), so good value for money.

Re: Phils Famo build
From the above two photos dated 22/dec/2018, we can see the foot steps are totally clear-cut through the fenders.
So unless we also cut it through, to paint it darker/ black colour is the only option, I reckon....

I agree, it's a massive piece of ali indeed and really needs milling at the back to, I guess we may have to live with it.

The driver slept on the bonnet reminds me of one historical photo:

Vents, canvas iron work, and the winch. I'm in the process of dyeing the canvas in the kitchen sink right now.

The first proper fitting of the crew compartment hood,(well not a proper fitting as I have just draped it over the hoops) and it's a nice fit to.

Phil, this thread is truly incredible. It’s awesome to see your project come together so effortlessly. You are a master builder and I could only dream of possessing the skill to build something this cool. I can’t wait to start my FAMO build and I am so thrilled to have this thread as a reference and inspiration.

Brian your are too kind mate! you have the same passion as me and an ever increasing work load looking at all your other projects awaiting their turn on the bench. I do need to sell one or two of mine now as funds are getting low but what a great way to spend your cash!.......Phil.
