Been down to Stefan Koenitzer yesterday and we did some work on my upper deck, o atleast the Pro did. That means Stefan

.

I was amusing to see him yet again in action. And fun to talk some tank talk.
I used his pro grinder to my armorshouds for the exhausts with very good result.

The deck will be revealed in a later state as i want to finish it for a
full picture post from beginnning to done.

Here is what me and Stefan have been working on.
As we have looked over the pictures we have seen that the upper deck needed attention. In form of milling the sides so you get the V shaped slit that goes from the 1st rear vent to the front and around to the other. Wich is welded to keep the plate in place.
There is both good and bad in doing this, the bad is servicability.
But if you need to remove it aint a big thing, but still.
The good one is that it looks like the real deal simply

Stefan and me had some gos as some degrees but 30 looked the best.

Corners Will be square by mr.dremel.

So we did both front plates, was a bit of a hassle to get them to line up but Stefan fixed it. Cheers

The fifth post.The deckplate was also welded in 3 places...
The slope is 30Â° but the slope from the side plate should be 20Â° if you want it exact as the real deal...

As ive started armor treatment pics will come in a day or 2 to see how it ended up.

Nice to see that you are back in the game again, im having a rough time thou as shes mooving out in 10 days so im in a kinda confusing state atm.

Back in the game...?
Everything went well.Doing some sport now, making contact with people, planning the trip to the States (most likely 13-03-2010), did some good progress on the 3D model i make, but for the moment i have a big setback.
This morning it hit me back and hard. So i'm in the same state as you are now...
Welcome to the club...
Hope you get thru these difficult times...
Bin there and going thru it again...

I keep track of everything that is going on here.
Its so nice to see how much skillfull people that are here and if i can be of any help i will not hold back.
As long as i have some work to do its fine, once you come home...
You have to keep busy but sometimes you need to have some time to get your emotions free...

Thanks for your concern Bob.
Yes things have gone slow with the build last 2 weeks or so.
Anette moved out this weekend with all her stuff and the week before mostly was sorting out what goes where, or belong to who

Atleast the deckplates are Kent treated and i think i aced them. They look really perfect. Big cheer to Stefan again.
Will post some pics when they are painted and mounted, welded etc.
The front hatch plate will be removable with magnets so i can access the motors, thankfully i mooved all the electrics to the rear:).
Im also trying to learn how to brass solder to make my own stuff out of thin brass plates wich i think is fun to get a grip on.
Like Simons outstanding grill guards for example.
Also ive come up with a cool way to battle damage the beast. Thanks to Kent Wiik actually. SHOOT AT CLOSE RANGE WITH A BEE BEE GUN

. The aluminium gets torn up like a real impact( wich it is ) and it leaves a neat and cool crater in it.
So thats all for the moment, i hope i have some strenght and will to get the speed up again on the build in the future weeks.

Im just writing so you know im all well and all

Just redoing my kitchen (from the ground and up) so the KT aint a high prio at the moment.
Have been doing a little snowmobiling with it though and it works UBER. Pulled me and my kids on a snowracer easely. Without any track spinn!!!!!
No video of it though as my ex took the videocamera unfortunately.

But im getting close to sew it up and start to complete the hull with paint and moove on to complete the turret..

Will post some pics later on.

I see you have 4 batteries in your model,Is one set a spare?
And I was wondering if you washed the tracks in something to get
the dirt off them.After a bad year of winter driving in snow and salt,
I like to paint the tracks.But was wondering what you did to your's?

I used plain water to clean the tracks of and then some wd-40 to prevent corrotion. Have no clue it will work but hopefully.
And the 4 batteries is put alltogether as ive mentioned in my build before. Check it out

Aaaaargh.

After checking my dear i noticed that i have had a breakdown on both of the first suspension arms:(.
They have slipped out of alignment and are now loose?.
I have grinded the suspension rods as the manual says and even used the cap screws instead of the grubs and filed them flat so they shouldent be able to travel.
So i have to overhaul them again and i hope the damage isnt so bad as it looks. As i now can turn them 80 degrees easely by hand.
Have no clue if it is due to stress or track tension but the tracks havent been that hard tightened.

Freddie, can you see which parts are turning when you move the suspension arm ?

Could it be the arm on the axle thread rather than the torsion bars ?
