Michael would you have any good reference photos/ drawings of the infantry telephone and the tow rope bollard and associated rear plate area please?

I've had a look through my Centurion images this morning, and the vast majority have the rear fuel tank installed with the telephone on the side of the fuel tank. Other than grainy B&W taken in the 1950s and early 1960s, I have a couple of colour images of tanks without the rear fuel tank which I will have to scan.

The best Tank Telephone image I have is below. It is the Australian modified position on the side of the fuel tank, but still provides a reasonable overview of the telephone box. When mounted on the rear plate, it was upright, ie rotated 90 degrees right of the shown position

There are a stack of pics and drawings for the inf/tk telephone on my Cent thread here, although it’s for the Mk 5/1 with external tank. The box was common to all marks though.

Stephen, I presume the Cent was the only tank to have this facility?

The Chieftain also had the very same unit, Stephen would you be so kind as to let us have the Length, width and depth of the unit please?

Finished the infantry telephone unit, lots of work and no where near as detailed as Stephens!

The arse is now complete, on to the gun crutch next.
