So finally i got the zimmerit onto the KT and just the rear end left .
Got a better shape to it and i quite satisfied with the looks of it.

Still have to remove some of the blimps here and there, but there might be battle damage just there you never know.
The Rear will have to wait until i get my exhausts in the shape i want them to be mr.dremel and a mill awaits them.

Okay now im getting my steam up
Down she went and out for a spin.....then in again and hmmmm mabey i have to redo the placing of the modules...........said and done!

Now i have to redo the wiering as many of the wires are way to short but thats easy. While im at it i will also put shrink tubes on all contacts and make a harness for the wires so that its neat and clean inside the tank.

I like said Borat!!!! well so do i



Im going to get some dirt and wear just as Simon have done on the inside on the lower hull.

Having seen how much effort goes into putting Zimmerit on tanks, I don't think I'll ever own a mid/late war tank

Well done Freddie! Your KT looks fantastic!
Can you advise me two questions on your KT:
(1) How many track pads in each track? (90 or 92?)
(2) How were these four 12V, 20Ah batteries connected? Are they connected each 2 in series, to form two separated 24V, 20Ah power sources? If not, how do they connected?

Hi Chang.
Im using 4 12v 19Ah batteries and ive put them in 2 circuits.
To gain 24volts, 2 batteries are in series for one set.
Do the same with the other 2.
Then ive paralell coupled them together. Plus with plus and minus with minus.
Wich gives me 24v 76 ah teroretically.
Ive used the supplied wires but have made a own at the paralell junction so i can take a load output and fix it somewhere in the tank. Not as neat as Richies module but it will do the trick .

It works so i hope you will get it right.
Always Check the outbound current of the connecting wires from the batterys BEFORE connecting it to your prechious tank

The track links are 90 atm before they wear a bit. I did as Dale did.

Thanks for the explanation. Just as what I thought:
(1) Connect two 12V, 19Ah one in series to form a 24V, 19Ah power set.
(2) Then connected two sets of (1) in parallel to form a 24V, 38Ah power set.
(This is the idea of electrical connection I've learned from school. Not sure is 38Ah or 76Ah you quoted the total of capacity?) Again, a great job done!

Good idea on adding more batteries to increase the amp hours (aka run time), The extra weight doesn't seem to even make the suspension lower a bit! Really great work on your tank - glad to see it all come together!

Oh how silly i am Chang:).
Ofcourse the ah is still 38Ah but my runtime is extended by approximately 1h . And with 1 set my runtime was about 1.20mins. Might even trow in a set more wich means more playtime!!! there is space and wont bother the suspension as it almost didnt lower it one bit with the second set installed.

I have started with the rearplate Zimmerit. Then i will remove the tracks to smear the hull down bought a lovely bottle of grease and oil stain for hobby purpose wich i will brush on in layers (MIG productions "Oil and Stain MIxture") i tried some and the result was "WoW".
With some base airbrush it will be super im sure.

Been hooked up on the wiering, went to the shop and got the material i needed and went to work. Hopefully im done by tomorrow.

My muzzle break is on its way from Germany from Hugos company and im looking forward to mounting it.

Hmmm what can i say i was about to zimmerite the back plate but have to put it on hold.

Something aint right with the placing of the hooks and Jack block in my oppinion.
Need to do some measurements and check on my 1/16 Tamiya.

I think that the jack block need to go upp and the c hooks also, as they were pretty tight to the upperline so to speak.

Ive done the 90 degree cut and it still looks different?

Lol yes i just wondered where it was!!!
And sigh i have measured to them points aswell, new holes drilled and mooved them to right position.

The jack block is trickier thou so im going after my own measurements.

So i will zimmer zu morgen.

I like your modifications on the shackle holders and jack block. I just installed both of them last week, but now I wish that I'd taken the time to fix them.
