Looking good! Panther is surprisingly big vehicle - longer than Tiger!
Best regards,

Appreciate the support, both vehicles are iconic.
The Tiger is the orginal, most popular I think.

Hi All,
Mudguards pretty much finished just waiting for some fixings for the hinges.
Managed to get an hour for a bit of etch priming before the weather stopped play..
4 weeks on the trot..
Hopefully tomorrow can get the turret primed.
Cheers

Re: New member panther g 1944
Hi All,
Finally getting somewhere on the paint front, pretty much all turret done plus spare wheels.
Next weekend weather permitting..get red primer on bolt turret together and get it filled.
I have to say the Upol degreaser and paint are brilliant.
Cannot recommend it highly enough.
Cheers

Hi All
Didn't get to where I had hoped, but everything wheel related is done.
The panther must have the most wheels ever fitted to Tank!
Tires to fit tomorrow, and hopefully turret next weekend..

Re: New member panther g 1944
Gary,
I’ve managed to dry fit just about everything on my Panther #17 and figured out a preliminary electronics layout. Next I’ll take everything apart and start painting.
How many cans of etch primer and dunkelgelb would be sufficient amount I’m your opinion for thorough coating (etch primer all over and dunkelgelb outside)?
BR, Matti

I have 8 cans of Upol etch primer, 8 cans of red oxide, 8 cans of Dunkelgelb.
Hopefully that should be enough..
You could get away with just etch primer, Dunkelgelb.
But I wanted to use red oxide as that will be the colour of the interior of the tank as well as undercoat for the outside.
Cheers

I initially thought that six cans would be enough, but better safe than sorry…
I have been thinking if I should use Motip 1K red-brown acid primer. I could get away with one primer and get the desired colour too. Does anyone have any experience with Motip stuff?

Hi All
Was hoping to get a ton of painting done this weekend however the weather thinks different..
So have tried a go at zimmerit cut this scrap piece of steel to replicate side of the hull, and a few missing patches of zimmerit
Not great however a couple of more goes and hopefully it will work out.
