Getting on with the zimmerit. I shall install the side skirts today, finish the front zim then start planning the engine bay fabrication.

Hi Phil loving your build as usual. Apologies if it has been mentioned before but what tile cement are you using for the zimmerit? I think it is time to try it instead of milliput!

Thanks Florian I hope he's happy with it! wait till you see todays progress tomorrow, the sub units are now coming together nicely. I've not really even started on the turret as yet. I'm getting through paint like crazy, I am keeping all the used cans and will post a photo of them ( landscape ) at the end.
Hi Bob, thanks for the kind words, the tile cements trade name escapes me but it's just a ready mix of half a kilo, it sticks like sh.t to a blanket! It's not easy to use by its very nature but you have about an hour maybe two before it starts to harden so you can easily "lay up " an entire plate and work away without to much pressure. Just remember my wd40 tip.

While I think about it, are there any high detail Tiger 1 track links for sale? We need some nice examples to hang on the T1.

Zimmerit all done, I have made a start on the engine bay, firstly I must put the various units together as the dimensions of these determine the width of the fire walls, the thickness of the material that I shall make the engine bay floor from... everything really.
The tile cement container is there in shot and it's "Evo-stik"

Hi Ivano, they look nice. With a lot of fettling maybe ours will look as good?

Are you offering these for sale and if so what's the price?
As we are talking about cars....I'm off to a big car show at Mount edgecombe here in Cornwall this Sunday so if any of you guys wants a different day out I will be in the super car line up with my Armortek cap on! Come say hello, and if you have an Armortek model at home then a coffee is yours!

I used the same tile adhesive for the zim. As a first-timer I found it quite good and forgiving. When I removed my first attempt I had to use a wood chisel and hammer!
Vince
P.s. How do I get an Armortek cap?

Thank you very much for the invitation, but I'm a little too far for a hahahahaha coffee, Italy. For the price contact me in private, I never advertised my articles on the forum.
