Hi Derek
Its Not too far off.
For my Comet I mixed 3 colours
Equal parts of Lifecolour UA506 olive green and UA221 Khaki Olive Drab and a bit of
burnt umber UA037.
You couldnt tell the difference from each mix I made up.

The Green I am using at the moment is a Green I came across Vauxhall Leaf Green and I have been
using it to spray the big areas in the garage as a base coat after priming for the air brushing I will be doing
soon, now I have moved it inside, into my spare room,so yes its not far off the Comet colour.
I sprayed it in thin coats and at a longer distance than normal so its a mixture of semi gloss and mat finish.
For my Air Brushing I am using Lifecolour UA002 Green Verde and UA237 Dark Olive,Both from the FS34102 Range.
Then I will do some fine air brushing and dry brushing after, the part I had fun with.
Cheers
Phil

Phil - I've been admiring your work in silence too long. Great stuff. Must be difficult to keep thinking Russian, agricultural, less than perfect if you've got high standards - perfection not required on this one!

Don't know if you've seen my post elsewhere on the Adam Wilder DVD on Photoetch techniques but it might interest you. The DVD is based around building a 1/35th T34/85 with Thoma screens. He includes a stack of close ups of a real tank in Moscow and I'm sure if you freeze frame and do a screen dump, you could use it.

On my Pz III, I got hold of a 1/35th photoetch pattern for the Rommelkiste and scaled it up to make in brass. There are alot of photoetch kits for the T34 from companies like Aber. Might be something to think about if you're thinking of adding detail.

Looking good and thanks for sharing.

Regards

Stephen

Thanks Stephen :D
I was doing a bit of air brushing on my wheels last night,Too much of a rush after work,Too poor
lighting, too much thinners and not mixed enough.
Those mistakes ended up starting to look like the photo of a dusty wheel with some white marks
that Brown had posted early on,when I went back to have another quick look:)
So I am finding I can make use of some of my little mistakes.

Yes thanks for that posting on the photoetch,My disc is already on its way,I like to learn about
all the new skills that are new to me and pick up any other detail bits on the way.
Cheers
Phil
