Test run did today...klinkaklonk all over the asphalt.
with 8 wheels missing .....wife vaccumed the nuts !!!!!!
The last of the zimmerit will be applied and sanded down as im uncertain if the heigth of the grooves are good enough..need to check with Per.
Recoil damper....NOT muzzle break according to the Oracle is almost finished and im pretty pleased as my Dremel has worked to hard and died on me. All hand work till paycheck arrives.

Been measuring and looking at blueprints....they will be major overhauled. I cant have that sweet smoke from the smokers going thru a square piece . Goin to try and get it as realistic as possible.

Some adjustments goin to be done to the deck as i said earlier but been sick so Stefan will do it later as he has a wounded knee aswell. Aswell as the front.

By the way anyone heve a site that sells them wonderfull letters and digits in plastic for the casts!!! We swedes would love to live in a wider variety of country.....atleast us tank builders............expensive and unreacheble!!!

Oracle or not...the English word is "Muzzle brake" and as this is an English spoken forum I think we shall stay with that.
In German it is "Mündungsbremse" and in Swedish "Mynningsbroms / Rekyldämpare"

Regarding the plastic letters you have Modelljärnvägsspecialisten Tåg och Hobby here in my hometown Luleå who has (or can order them for you).

Been working on the front gearbox guards, in the haste to get it up and running i totally forgot them hehe.

The plaster molds worked better than i expected.


This is what the looked after the plaster was removed.

This shows the supporting rod that i glued into a drilled hole.
Noe that i used a iron saw to cut small stripes in the aluminium to get the ceramic metal to stick better.

This is how they look on, still work to be done with the radius and the Kent Wiik treatment, but still way better.

Hi guys.
Thought id post some more pictures as the tracks came on and shes rolling.
Test run went aswesome nothing that went wrong with tracks etc.
Had fun for about 1h 20mins.
She looked abit funny without the turret and deck thou:)

Im really pleased with the armorguards did as Dale, cut of 3 mm of the tabs.


Im also happy with the welds as i think ive goten the hang of it
Thnx to Simons amazing welds.

While i was at it i did the cap nut holes wich should be there. Not easy as it was assembeled but i pulled it of.

So much work for this view:), one thing thou. the dirt colected by the tracks went smooth over it and ended up behind on the track.
The half one might get dirt and stuff right ontop of the gear box wich can cause problems but im not sure of that.

Here she is my pride and joy. Still lots to be done but, hey its a long winter ahead.

Finally all wheels are converted . I did one thing on purpose on them.
I chipped the paint as they would looked worked on and repainted them.
and the result was really good.

Now i only have to zimmerit the rest of the hull and put on the detail parts.

Hi Tim, and thnx for the kind words.
I use Tamiya TS-3 spray cans to ground the model so to speak. Then i go over it all again with the airbrush and then i use the small tamiya cans with no:XF-60 mixed with approx 20% tamiya thinner. Or if you just open the jar and ad thinner up to the lid . I do this as i think the spray can overdooze easely and its a bit to glossy.
With the airbrush you get the satin matte color i prefer.
I have cheated some on the camo aswell. sprayed some small dots here and there, just to figure out wich color matches the one im doing..

Trying to figure out how to ad the runner video in here or on youtube..hmm

Oh yeah thats what I'm talking bout! Looks excellent! The camo combined with the zimmerit is going to be very cool!

What a beast!

Easiest way I have found to post video is to make them Quicktime movies, and post them on YouTube. They seem to upload ok, and you get a link (URL) from Youtube similar to posting pictures in Photobucket. Someone else may have an easier method?

I hope to see the first run video.

Couldent stop painting....wich i should and start zimmeriting the rest.
BUT ITS SO DAMN FUNNY TO DO IT!!!!!!!

This is how it turned out .





The inner wheels will also be done and as you see the Dark Red XF-64 Tamiya color will be overhauled again, and some parts of the green as the light in here tricks me, or i need my glasses on hehehe.
The green XF-67 Nato green is the closest i could come to the pictures ive seen.

Hi guys.
I finally have started to do the last of the zimmerit and will post pics when its done.
Been crappy with the flue and all but getting better.
and i have to hack the first coat of zimm i did away .
Its to thick and the look on the turret i did is spot on, so the hull will be redone as i now know how to handle the 2component stuff i use.
But hey!!! you always learn something in the faults you make:).
The pannier side looks to smooth compared to the turret.

And ive been looking for another project aswell to my wifes dispair:)
A panther or jagdpanther is the next for me. In a near future:) hopefully.

So i will keep you posted
