I do like the open engine bay look but bonnet on or bonnet off? There's a lot more detail involved with the bonnet off look but I think with the fan and generator spinning away nicely, all the fire wall details, tie rods and hoses it should look pretty good. Now what colours for the engine? I was thinking of field grey for the block with black rocker covers and flat aluminium for the ancillaries?

It would be nice if this is the last time the engine goes in but I expect it will have to come out yet again.

Got a bit of the plumbing done today along with some of the control levers, wiring loom next.

Hi Chang , yes they are simply flat washers, for more accurate detail you could add an oval washer with with two small bolts. You will find that leaving the tie rods " floating" ( around 8mm) it's easier to fit the main body .
Ref that long machined slot near the top of the firewall, I would think that was to aid in the locating of the work piece to be machined, There's no evidence of the slot anywhere that I can find, so it may need to be covered up?

Sorry more engine bay photos, that's the wiring loom done, I've gone for the older more exposed control box and starter solenoid as it's more interesting than a couple of black boxes, slightly over scale but needs to be robust enough to survive as a working model, a bit like the clamps to hold the plumbing and wires in place, that's the Armortek way it will last a life time.
I've also put the gusset supports in against the firewall. Now to the front hoses and then the steering box and servo.
I should get the linear actuator today along with the winch motion parts. I need to see just how much room the L/A takes up before I make the steering box.
I think I will turn a nice big klaxon on the lathe, some examples have a newer horn but I think the old klaxon looks in period.

Lol! I have not had beers just quickly posting in the middle of the night. Bleary eyes make it extra hard to differentiate the kit you have put together from an original. It’s looking better and better. Kudos!

you installed the linear actuator allready... Do you know if this thing works with 5v or more? - You have the motion board, may you can look at the exit pin for the linear actuator?!
Other question:
Do you know how many Ah power is the motor regulator? I thing 30Ah would be enought?!
