2025 ARMORTEK KIT SURVEY

Over the last few years we have brought out a whole series of kits as a direct result of your feedback - kits like the Pershing, JagdPanther, Hetzer, Leopard 2A4, and more recently the Sd Kfz 7, 88mm Flak 36 and the upcoming Challenger 2.

So, in keeping with what has become and annual tradition, here is your opportunity to once again influence our future production plans.

We have added in some "guide pricing" next to the names of the models. This is a rough estimate of the price at the current rates.

Thanks in advance for your input and we look forward to the results.

Do you want to or need to achieve a "realistic" recoil action ?
Yes there was a "fast" recoil & a "slow" run-out but it all happened so quickly, an observer close up would not have detected any difference in the speeds.
I never did when fixing Chieftain, Challenger 1 or Challenger 2 on the ranges and being stood off just to the side. Crews inside the tank would have noticed it more due to the breech movement and being hyper aware ( keeping limbs out of the way of huge chunks of metal moving very rapidly ).
As an observer, the whole recoil action happened so quick, you would have been hardly aware of it unless watching out.

1/6 th scale model, 1/6th of the time to observe the whole sequence.

If anyone approached me with a camera so he could film the recoil action to then afterwards slow the footage down and determine whether it was "realistic" or not, I would inform him of the perfect spot to place his camera.

It would have been painful for him, and required a trip to the local A&E to then extract it.

Well, I think that the differences of recoil speed of the KwK 36 L/56 are visible very well. Here some clips of the original (e.g. see 1:30 and onwards):

kind regards
Gerhard
