Hi Phil,

In 2007 late Tiger, the upper deck is one piece, locked with both front and back bulkheads underneath.

I always wondering if this one-piece upper deck was divided into 2 pieces, in following released Tiger?

Many Tigers built have shown this feature, and 2 bulkheads were locked with chassis instead of with the upper deck. I am thinking of such modification. :idea:

With that angle grinder in sight, I reckon you have cut it yourself. Nice work!

Also can be seen is the front bulkhead is still locked under the front deck, but the back bulkhead is not with back deck. Any reason for this arrangement? :D

The rear bulkhead is in the way for cutting so it's removed and then reversed and bolted to the newly created rear, it then supports the front and back deck nicely. Next time it's apart I will post a photo for you. 8)

I'm still finding jobs to do, I'm not going for a highly detailed Tiger Just a nicely sorted one with extra detail for the new owner to tinker with it they wished, like a half engine or a Gucci kit locker stuff like that. It will also help keep the price keen. 8)

Hi Phil,

Thanks for some additional explanations and photos, and please forgive me for another confusions:

(A) From this photo, this is exactly the way of screwing the rear bulkhead shown in Armortek's 2007 assembly instruction manual. I don't see the "Reverse". Did I still miss anything? :lol:

(B) Nothing wrong with your work, just my long-term intrigue raised again and looking for your knowledge:
From one of your photo dated 14/07/2021, there are two holes on the hulls' (both) side of panel. I always wonder What they are for? :?:

The bulkhead can be fitted either way round and this one was fitted initially the other way so I just reversed it, the holes in the hull sides...... I have no idea! 8)

After a couple of trials on the rough stuff it was clear that further running gear adjustment was required, Tiger 213 is now running lovely, (slow motion video to follow) I must add that the latest kits are a whole lot easier to set up straight from the box.
When you look at the photo of 213 before I owned her you can see that the track is not able to sit over the road wheels correctly.
After lots of alignment checks it turns out the idlers needed moving out 2.5mm on both the left and right tracks, this then allows the track horns to be presented to the road wheels correctly, if not the track horns will climb the road wheels and before you know it the track is off the sprocket teeth!
The sprockets were allowed to find their final smooth running position using my loose collet technique. The video shows the track running very smoothly in forward and reverse.
The track tension on the late style Tiger 1, this seems to work best with less slack than you would think so keep them well adjusted!

Video of the correctly adjusted running gear, it also sounds nice with out any undue snagging.

I need to stress that the techniques used above suit my work and standards.
