Thank you Gill & Mark, it was a great day, and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everyone and putting faces to names. The food and drink was most enjoyable. Also the visit to the Tank Museaum on Sunday was very good.

I can't wait for the next one!!!

I just got back last night and just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to Mark and Gill for organizing the open day and for the ride to Bovington. I had a wonderful time meeting some old friends (Steve and Jeff), many new and seeing some great looking models.

I hadn´t been at the Tank Museum since 1995 so there was a lot to see (and measure !!).

at the open day mark would consider tooling up if enough orders were placed,anybody for the mighty jadgtiger,viewing it at bovington you realise its a monster

Dale, who has been whispering in your ears? Seriously, I think the Tiger II model will be a very good model especially after Mark correct some parts of the preproduction model (and he will). Although I think the use of scale thickness in the alu plates adds unnecessary weight. On the other hand a BergePanther could be made.

Simon, I kept trying to persued Mark to do the Jagdtiger and I would buy one if Mark would make one. Seeing this vehicle in the flesh is an impressive sight indeed.

I wasn't at the open day - Canada is a bit far to go, but never say never.

I was very excited to see that there is interest in a WW1 Mk4 . I have been thinking it would be a nice addition to the Armortek offerings. I would definitely be up for one please.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that the WW1 Mk4 is the best tank ever made by the British. In fact if you were making that list I'm pretty sure that it wouldn't even be on it. However, it was the first (or actually the fourth ) and by all accounts it development and use probably puts it at/near the top of some other lists, like most controversial tank; most people taking credit for its development; tank that incapacitated more of its crews, many other lists too.

I'm pretty certain that any "land ship" that Mark would build would be more reliable than any of the original WWI versions. That and it would be a really cool model to make and I haven't seen a lot of these floating about.

i would love to do this tank, a Mk 4 male with its unditching kit brilliant, the only reserve i would have is its moving speed, i think the real speed is about 5-6 mph, so the scale speed would be little over 1mph, it would take us all day to get them maneuvered at the open day!!!.

Another vote of thanks to Gill and Mark for such an enjoyable day out

It was great to meet so many other Armortek enthusiasts and to put faces to names. Hopefully by the time of the next one I'll have some semblance of a tank to take with me.

I'm another fan of the WWI tank idea and would certainly be interested in buying one, though probably not this year

BTW, if you put "tadpole tank" into Google, you get all sorts of details on amphibian environments
