I thank Marco for the Bovington JT roof photos. They are very clear. Therefore, it raise another question that intrigue me quite a while:

The short vertical bar welded on the central front (or to me, at back) of the left side periscope guard. What is it and what for?
(Sorry Marco for borrowing your photo)

Also to each and every JT lover, if you know the answer, please share with us.

Not a photo, but a line drawing of KT (same as JT) from bottom. Does anybody know what these four plates are for? Do they have anything to do with four bump stops?

I believe they are just floor reinforcing plates...King Tiger has them to.

Only KT and JT have these reinforced plates. Neither Tiger 1 nor Panther has them (at least that is what I know).
Does anybody have any more info?

I have only seen two KT builders (Steve Norris & Martin Hofmann) had added these plates, and many other details.

I’ve made all the access hatches using my 3D printer. I like the extra realism of these ad-on pieces to the Armortek kits👍

Very nicely done! You never know when your tank destroyer is going to flip over... Can't be too safe

 What, a sort of cabriolet!
Hood down, wind in the tutonic blonde hair and flys in the teeth :

Why did the museum let the historical remains exposed and unpainted outdoor? Look so sad at those surface rust!

That's what I feel sad about. A cheap simple surface etch-primer paint on the surface can stop the 24/7 never stopped rust completely.

Amazing pictures. I'm impressed how big the breach and gun are. Truely a destroyer sized 5" gun on wheels+tracks.
