Travelling down tomorrow, 400 Km each way is too much to do in one day at my age. Am booked into the Gasthof zum Hirschen in Insingen for Friday and Saturday, as recommended by Reinhold. Anyone else booked in there ?

Great meet, about 10 1:4 scale models, and 40+ 1:6 scale, split roughly equally between Armortek, Bigtanks and scratchbuilt.
It was an extremely enjoyable meeting, great company and some fantastic and also unusual models there ( a pedal boat from 1914 ?)
The static display of a german workshop unit with gantry crane was absolutely fantastic.

A meeting for modellers and owners with the visiting public adding to the day by admiring our models and the display we put on, rather than it being a show we were doing for the public.

I will definitely be going again next year.

I think that you said all that is to be said about Hausen annual tank festival. Thanks in the name of Reinhold, the event organiser! I tried to make some pics and clips, but they are not yet sorted and uploaded........

For anyone thinking of going next year, I can well recommend staying at the Gasthof Zum Hirschen in Insingen, which is only about a 10 minute drive away from the meeting.
I had to query my total bill for the weekend as I thought they must have made a mistake and missed something off. 2 nights stay with breakfasts, very good meals and drinks on the Friday & Saturday evenings and the total bill was only just over 120 Euros, approx 112 pounds at present exchange rates.

here some pics just made by smartfone....

Reinhold usually starts with a tank formation ('Panzerparade') behind his estate (and 2 of his neighbours ). Then the tanks start a tank walk through his village onroad and offroad (some traffic roads are closed for that) to the town hall. At afternoon the models are presented to the visitors at a hill in the so called battle meadow ('Gefechtswiese'), and at last the tank battle begins, showing some pyrotechnics.

The 10 models in 1:4-scale exceeded one photo....

what error message do you get ?
Do you get a picture with a play arrow displayed ? Can you see the link to click on ?
Maybe you were active on the forum when I posted and that is why it does not work for you. Maybe worth logging out and coming back in.

Google says it could be a country restriction or a privacy setting issue.

here is a top video from Hausen am Bach. it was filmed by Olaf. Tank models 1/6 and 1/4 in the fight. Tanks on the battlefield I think you can not do it better. Hope you have fun watching
