Also started adding some weld lines!
It takes a bit of practice, I'm using Miliput...

Hello Marco, I am following your interesting Tiger restore/build. There is an excellent article in the Knowledge Base, which describes and illustrates how to apply 'welds' to these wonderful models....best wishes Mick.

Ah cool! Will check it out!
Last night I decided to add weld lines to the periscope-parts of the cupola too, only to find out the AA MG-ring has welds too haha! Once you start...
Never imagened myself making weldlines to handles too!
Satisfying work!

Hi,
I've got a vintage Armortek Tiger too. Has yours had the turret deck altered or did it not have the fault? We have not done ours yet and I still need to dig out the measurements and gather up the courage to attack it.
Cheers
Sam

I'd love to answer your question if only I knew what you mean haha!
Re: Oh no... I did it! Bought a (used) Tiger 1 mid.
The bend in the turret top (not deck?) doesn't match the turret casting. We have a little note from Armortek saying you can file away the casting to match but I think that putsthe bend in the wrong place...
Does yours have any sign of alteration to the casting or the top? Your last photo seems to show a line drawn along the bend?
I'm really after the distance from the front edge of the turret deck to where the bend should be.
Cheers
Sam

Marco looks like you are enjoying yourself tremendously, the second hand market keeps the new product market alive, now you have had a taste and you like it you will want more! Keep it up mate, regards Phil.

Yes it has a bent/line, the photo shows a line I have drawn to place the missing 8 holes in the turret roof. It felt so naked without it.
Maybe it's better if someone with a very new Tiger 1 measures the distance for you, better chance it is correct since Armortek improves it's models every time (and mine is very early), otherwise I'd be happy to measeure it for you.

I like to apply a filter to all surfaces, slightly changing the color but also working as a wash.
The engine plate left is done, the turret roof right not.
By taking that photo I found I need way more weld-lines haha!
Quick test with some sort of pinwash.

Built in the Benedini Mini Sound System with amplifier and two car speakers. WAY better sound then the Tamiya DMD-unit!
2 speakers, one in the front one in the rear. Great sound! Pretty loud haha!
Took all the fenders of, sanding all the rust off, priming them and finally respraying them in Dunkelgelb.
