bit more done, cut the phantom chassis side rails at the rear to match the ghost, the phantom fuel tank is now to big and the wrong shape, so fabricated the correct shape one in steel, also worked out the flooring and put in the access hatch for fuel tank

Hi Jeff:

I've been busier than a one-legged man at a butt-kicking competition since the weekend. And my buddy Jim Stejskal (who is building the RR Tender Replica is visiting to work on our 'real thing.') So apologize for not getting some pictures up.

Soon! Just a crazy week.

Your doors look absolutely spot-on! The floor is great. The rear end is all-wood. So you are on the right track. Spectacular scratch-build!

I'll post some pictures from our 1:1 build on an Ghost Alpine Eagle Chassis this weekend. The engine pictures I've been posting are from the Tender Replica.

Cheers,

RPR

most of the interior details done, just the driver's seat and storage boxes, outside has a brush coat of light grey just to blend in the panels, spare wheels made and fitted, still plenty to do, this is how far I got today

made a start on the wooden rear, this was not something I was looking forward to, as there seems to be various differences, but once I had started, it became obvious where the pieces go together, once all the major boards are in, it will be detailed, I have put a picture of a spoked wheel to show the lacing, having a small bend at each end of the spoke made it easy for me to lace, I have done

well a milestone moment today, the model has come together and I am pleased with the result so far, don't forget I do not use cad or make any measurements just make what I see from photos, still lots of details and the turret to finish, the pictures show only single rear wheels, I will put the others back on when the rear is finished

all the bodywork made and fitted, had to make new front leaf springs to cope with the added weight, the front now rides higher.
I decided to make the top turret hatch door open forward, as seen in a contemporary photo, storage boxes and side bins to make, then any small details, and then to the painting, will most likely go with a R.N.A.S scheme
