Looking very good, nice work. Odd question maybe but are the tyres soft enough to look slightly flattened by a heavy load?

No. You could probably stand on them without any noticeable deflection.

Adrian.

Hi All,

Mostly resin work this weekend, I have made the moulds and cast a set of parts for the left and right side of the quad. I have added a couple of quick pics of the sequence for working with the flat back casts for those not used to this type of resin work.

I trim the parts from the back plate with a scalpel and then, using a rotary motion, gently sand the parts to even out the back. Using a sanding block I give the edges a quick sand then glue the parts to the main body using superglue.

Best regards

Dave

Hi All.

With the 17 Pdr pre-orders packed and going out tomorrow I can turn my attention back to the Quad. New rear plate detail done and added along with rear mudguards. Mudguard fillets and support block made. Tow hitch added and new filler cap made. I'm trying to get the exterior as near finished as possible for the Model Expo at the Tank Museum.

Best regards

Dave

Looking at that last picture, could I ask that you investigate producing a replacement for the "Fuel House" (EM0323), with the correct arc so that it matches the hole in the bodywork ?

Adrian.

Hi Adrian,

When I have finished the exterior parts I'll cast one and reprofile it. I should have probably done that sooner but I wanted to get the model together to start working on the detail :-)

Best regards

Dave

Hi All,

Main components for the 2 Gallon Jerrycan holders done. Just need to make a right hand version of the 2 fixing straps..............and somehow closely match the left hand ones :-) Heat bending plastic in multiple directions can be a bit hit and miss.

Best regards

Dave
