Thanks to all who've registered for Tankmod 2016. We've got a great turnout of twenty names, three of which have asked for two passes. The Tank Museum have agreed to supply passes for the first 20 but I've asked for a few additional ones to cater for the "doubles".

That means the list is now closed. If you haven't yet told me you'd like to come, let me know and I'll keep a reserve list in case anyone drops out. The limitation on numbers is the result of the Museum's success in marketing the event this year. Maybe our World Record had something to do with it.

Expect a PM from me next week to make sure I've got your name, model(s) and any requests for additional tickets.

Best regards

Stephen

I've just heard from the Tank Museum that we'll be able to have sufficient passes for everyone on the current list.

The list is now closed but as before, I'm happy to keep a reserve list in case someone drops out.

Good news, thanks to the Tank Museum staff.

Hello Stephen,

in case its possible I'ld love to come over with my family.
Julieta, Shania and Justin would love it :-)

Models to bring would be my FLAK and potentially my KT.
The FLAK would need a Table..

Hope I'm not late for this year

cheers ,
Uwe

I've now got a total of 21 of us attending with models and those who have asked for extra tickets should receive them. The list is now closed but if anyone wants to make a late bid, I can open a reserve list in case anyone drops out.

The Tank Museum is aiming to get the passes and instructions out sometime after the 28th Sept and we'll send them on to you promptly.

I've requested tables for the static 222s and guns. If you're staying in the area on Friday night and want to leave models in the Museum overnight, it will be possible but I don't yet know the latest time you could arrive.

The Tank Museum have asked for a Risk Assessment, which we've done, with great help from Steve Stuart. It made us think about good practice when running models in public and we've written a set of guidelines. When you see them, we'd be very grateful for any improvements or comments so that they can be of best use to us all.

Thanks.

Stephen

David - noted and we'll let you know once we've got the tickets and confirmed attendance.

William, you'll see on the first post in this thread from back in July that Gill and Mark are unable to come. Since they are Armortek, you're correct. The post in July did also say that the Tank Museum were happy to have us, nevertheless, although they've put limits on numbers because of space restrictions. You're now added to the reserve list.

Only a week and bit to go. Everyone who asked for tickets should by now have received them.

Insurance. The Tank Museum have asked that you please bring a copy of your public liability insurance policy to show at Registration.

Early Arrivals. If you need to deposit your model(s) in the Museum on the Friday, you should report to the Registration Desk (opposite the Library and Archive, shown on the map in the instructions). Registration will be open until 1530, with access until 1630.

Tables. I've asked for five tables for static models. These will be in the Education Room for you to collect and set up in the running enclosure.

I will aim to be at the Museum for 0730 when the doors open, to check the layout and help you park the models. We can then have a clearly identifiable Armortek Tank Park as there may well be other models sharing the area.

Look forward to seeing you on the day. Safe journey.

Stephen

Just a quick note to say that I won't be attending TankMod, as I've managed to catch a real stinker of a cold, which I think I should probably keep to myself rather than spreading it any further  :|

If anyone has an outstanding query, please email me at sales@armortekaddict.co.uk and I'll respond ASAP.

Adrian.

Great day today at the Tank Museum Tankmod Show. 27 Armortek models on display and a good running area to enjoy. Congratulations to Uwe and family coming all the way from Germany. Crowds were on a par with last year, according to the Museum staff, despite no Guinness record attempt (thank heaven). Some photos for the album. Gill and Mark, we missed you but did manage on our own......

The Southern Armour Group Armortek models were enjoying the sunshine outside.

See you at Tiger Day next year.

All the best.

There were (if I can count correctly) 3 Panthers there on the day. The one in the photo next to the Real Thing is Denny Patterson's. There was also Tim Page's (in sand colour, with Zimmeritt) and John Caboche's (in Late War camo - as renovated by you, Steve, some years ago !).

A fun day out. Thanks, as ever, to the 'Armortek gang' for being welcoming and inclusive, and Stephen for doing all the organising.

All the best,

Chris

I would never display a model with a Hakenkreuz (Swastika), I only had an Sd.Kfz.222 at the event no Panther.

Excellent show, had a great time talking with people and look forward to next years event.
