Re: New Member
The DX7s should be compatible as long as it is set to the default of 22ms frame rate, as the Armortek modules don't work with the newer 11ms frame rate.

Re: New Member
Hi guys, I have a Spektrum DX7s for my Panther.
It is a very capable radio, but definately setup for planes and helis.
I am struggling to get it set up tbh to work as i want.
I am currently using it with left stick controlling the elevation & traverse (which works fine), and then drive on the right stick as that is all self centering.
I push the right stick forward and the right sprocket moves forward. I turn it left and then the left sprocket moves forward.
I need to have the stick at 10 o'clock position to drive with both at the same time.
My Panther runs on a Q4D setup and the controller is set to Tank mode.
I was hoping that the DX7S would let me mix but i dont seem to be able to mix those two channels.
I know that other drive their tanks on one stick and i would much rather if possible.
Hs anyone got any ideas?
Cheers
Tim

In the DMR203, "Tank Mode" expects you to want to drive the tank with both sticks on the transmitter, like using the two sticks in a tank, so one channel only controls the left hand sprocket and the other channel only controls the right hand sprocket.
For single stick mode, you need to remove the jumper so that the DMR203 runs in "Mixed Mode".
It will then take both inputs from just the right hand stick and work out the motor control so that forwards is forwards for both sprockets, left is spin left etc.
You may need to swap the motor leads over, to get them going in the right direction but it does work a treat.

Re: New Member
Yay
I managed to blow up one side of the Speed Control Module in the BARV getting it out of the car today, as the battery shifted when I had to do a bit of unexpected braking and had pushed two of the motor drive connections together.
I replaced it with the SPM out of the T-34, but end up with forwards and backwards of the stick being side to side, and side to side being forwards and backwards. I ended up having to hold the transmitter sideways so that I could drive it down the ramps

Hi Wolfgang,
I use a spektrum 11x which works fine. I use a spektrum 6i for my P4 and Mk4 which works fine. Ail and Elev on right stick for motors and throttle and rudder for traverse and gun elev/depress. Flap to turn headlight on/off.
Just had to file plastic for connections into receivers.
cheers

Hi Ray
I think I will give the DX7s a go. Does your 11x run your tiger1? I don't know anything about it, It's a set I haven't herd of before.

Re: New Member
As I have said before I have run my tanks with Spektrum DX8 for the last 3 years with no problems. If you want single stick operation you need to change wing type to elevon and tail normal.
The DX8 has a few advantages over the DX7 in that you can control the speed of servos so if you do as I do open hatches under rc you can control the speed at which they open and close. Also on the tx you can change the friction control on left stick to spring centre just by undoing a screw.
Also you have failsafe on all channels which prevents runaway on loss of signal.
