I use a pair of quad bike ramps, I think they come from Ghost bikes and were about £80, to get the tank in the car, Volvo estate. I have an inch thick ply board which fills the space in the back of the car which has blocks to stop the tank going too far back, and the same for sideways. I have also bolted D rings front and back to the board and have ratchet straps which run under and over the tracks. At the from I put a block under the tracks to prevent any movement when I ratchet down the strap. With this method of transport I have never had a problem with the tank moving due to braking, it stays put, and apart from the extra weight in the back and the occasional odd look when people see what is in the back, it works a treat. That is for a fairly hefty Tiger 1.
