Wow Jeff, that is super cool

I think your eye for detail and soldering skills have been honed over the years you spent repairing all those military helmets

The Midland class engine is nice too, but you would have to bring it north of Preston to run it on the LMS

Hi Paul good to hear from you, thanks for the comments, I do enjoy fabricating parts, and the after market grenade screens are not long enough and are symmetrical.
The Midland engine I modelled spent most of its life shunting in the breweries of Derby, never made it that far north

the pedestal mount and gun unit is coming together with only a few details to add before painting and adding the cloth or leather spent shell bags, a couple of pictures of the progress

All metalwork for the gun and mount finished and painted with a base colour, the pedestal sits on its own slightly raised sub-floor and will bolt through the main floor
last couple of pictures showing some more detail and the sub-base which is resting on a roll of duct tape for the pictures

It has been a couple of months since I worked on the 222, (built a conservatory and remodelled the garden) so it is now coming together, the drivers seat is finished, the wiring for the lights installed, and the gun mount fitted, a few pictures of my progress

Hi all this long running build is just about finished, I managed to buy some of the trial body panels,and some part formed bits and pieces way back at the 2007 open day, then bought wheels and tyres from Gill, everything else has been scratch built, it has been on hold many times while I built other models, it has now come in from the shed and on display
