Alexandra Palace visited today for the Model Engineering Show. So it was good to see Derek and to see the Chassis in real life. Very impressive to view what has been appearing in the post. Seeing the current project has always been for me a highlight of the show over the last few years!
All the best, Steve

Re: Derek's slow build of 004 / 2014 issue
Hi Guys
So I have been a bit absent of late this is because I have had a bit of a cancer issue
going on since April last year but I have turned a corner and things are in remission now
but still under 3 monthly review.
I have been quitely doing some detail work on the rear section of the half track riveting
around the doors and the back panel and the side dummy doors.
I am going to work on the long side panels next then start on the seats.
I have also done a bit on the grill and made a replacement radiator cap.
I will post some pictures here in the next day or so.
I am please with the progress this is anouther great subject from Mark.
Regards
Derek

Re: Derek's slow build of 004 / 2014 issue
So guys I have been doing some more I got some of the original cast engine grills from Gill for
a small sum of money I think they look better.
I have soldered the side panel trim with soft solder and a blow torch
and the added a lot of rivets.

Hi Guys the rivets on the side plates
I have lightend the seats by hollowing them out and removed the center of the rear
to make the hinge froward section this also removed 1.5 kg of metal.

Looking good Derek,
Your Half Track is coming along well, like your cast engine grills, and all the work you've done so far on this kit.
Cheers
