Hi Lee,

I have heard that said before, that if Armortek were to build the Königstiger it would be a one off, or a very limited production, I can’t see what they would gain by doing that to be honest  .

The Königstiger, Hull length: 7.61m. Hull width: 3.755m. Height: 3.09m. Weight: 68,000kg,
The Ferdinand/Elefant Hull length: 8.14m. Hull width: 3.38m. Height: 2.97m. Weight: 65,000kg.
The Chieftain Mk. 5, Great Tank, I drove one of these when I was in the Skin’s, Hull length: 7.52m. Hull width: 3.5m. Height: 2.9m. Weight: 55,000kg.
The Challenger 2 Hull length: 8.3m. Hull width: 3.5m. (11.50 m with gun forward) Height: 2.5m. Weight: 62,500kg.
The Leopard II Hull length: 7.7m. Hull width: 3.7m. Height: 3.0m. Weight: 62,300kg.

All these tanks and more fall within the same weight and size, so if it is size and weight then all these will be one offs as well, surely  !! That would mean that we would maybe never see a modern tank from Armortek, or only very limited production runs of them  .

Paul  .

Hello Chaps

Im not saying that Armortek Wont do a King Tiger but when i was in discusion about it that the model will come in arround the 350kgs and not everybody can transport a Beast like that arround. Allthough now there are larger motors availible.
On the note of modern tanks as we all know that they can do 60 mph and i dont think that i would want a model doing scale speeds and the wieght of 200kgs running around a field. It doesnt bear thinking about that nipping your ankle

A very nice French chap tried to sell me this the other day:

http://www.dailymotion.com/monsieurp4/v ... b-6x6_auto

Only 46,000 Euros. Done 55,000 km according to some photos he also sent.

These are very attractive amphibians - if we were going to have a modern it would be a very fair choice.

Shall we tell the French that a dailymotion has an altogether different meaning for us bowel obsessed Brits?

Does anyone know where the French have their surplus vehicle disposal sales?

I still think a King Tiger would be great, however, what about a Sd.Kfz.234.

Like the American Halftrack, Armortek could make an option of the three types of turrets/guns available. The 20mm, 75mm and the 50mm Puma.

Hi Steve,

Looks like good fun, but you don’t want a French amphibian; they come with too many rules, and where would we be if we had too many rules, "France", plus we all Know what the French do with amphibians! Buy British buy an Alvis Stalwart!

hi guys

If Armortek were to produce a king tiger i would definately be on the list. we have all bought cheap 1/6th tanks which are very poor quality and moved on to the Armortek, which are much more better quality and better value. i have one of the first tigers to be produced by Armortek and what I've seen on the forum is that all the new models are 100% better than mine, thanks to mark and Gill. So if they produced the king tiger i would say that the sales would be snapped up very quickly, the issue on transporting them is simple - trailer, van or estate, and it is so easy to pop a pin out and then you can push it home.
So fingers crossed. KT please. thanks richie

My vote would be for a universal (bren) carrier but I am close to 100% certain that it is not going to be the next model nor the one after that nor ....... But if we are talking about amphibians I would love a DUKW.
