Re: New Look Web Site – New Model Release!!!!
Hi all
Hope you like the look of the site, and the new Centurion.
We will be working over the next few days to improve the functionality of the site and to clear all the glitches. We will be improving the shop and an all new gallery will return very soon, with all your stored images.
Some pages and functions will require a refresh or two, to get them working properly.

Love the Centurion - shame you talked me into that brace of Fireflies
One thing with the forum - is it going to remain fixed width, and if it is, can it resize images to fit horizontally ?
Page 38 of Stephen White's Panzer III thread is a case in point - only about 40% of each picture is visible and there are no scroll bars to access the rest
Adrian.

Hi Adrian
We know about the large image issue. It is one of the things we have to work on.
Thanks

Re: New Look Web Site – New Model Release!!!!
Alex, The mini cooper will be no use for the carriage of tanks anyway. I have a cooper S and cannot even get a hitch for a trailer fitted. Still have to see if I can get a Tiger into it.
New sceen colours easier on the eyes.
Where are the PMs. (PMs, not PMS)

Hi John,
Yeah I know, its a shame they're so tight inside.I'm waiting on my Volvo C30 R being delivered, so if you like the sporty feel of a wheel in each corner, tight chassis you can have it, but still get a tank in. Well I measured for a Comet and camping gear at least don't know about your Tiger mind!
Still not the same as my Mini though
Oh yes and congrats on the new site facelift Gill and Mark!

Re: New Look Web Site – New Model Release!!!!
Excellent choice of a tank kit Mark and Gill! The Centurion is hands down the most legendary British tank. I know a lot of European customers and IDF enthusiasts will be very happy with this release.
Now we just need a another cold war tank to go with this one hopfully...an M48, or M60??? (which are one of my favorites)

Re: New Look Web Site – New Model Release!!!!
Gill, Mark
The Cent is an inspired choice - I'd like to think they'll fly off the shelves. So many options, so many different armies used them and so many operational uses. For the more adventurous there are all the variants, ARVs, AVREs, Bridgelayers, BARVs, etd.
You've got my order. I'll be doing an Australian Mk 5/1 which served in Vietnam in 1968. It was ARN 169007, named BUKU BOOM BOOM which fought at the battle of Bihn Ba, onw of the three major operations in which the Aussie Cents dominated the action. The name needs some explanation. The Aussies took R&R in Vung Tau where certain facilities and services were available on the local economy. Having been a French colony, French was often used, so BUKU is a corruption of Beaucoup, ie lots of.... BOOM BOOM presumeably doesn't need any further explanation.
I'll do a post with some Cent references over the weekend if time allows. It's Tiger Day at the Tank Museum today and the SW Model Show tomorrow.
Perhaps this is the vehicle to redress some of the popular obsession with the late WW2 German tanks, fine AFVs though they were. You could argue that the Cent was the most widely used MBT ever, in two senses, the number of armies which used it and the number of campaigns in which it fought (and it would be difficult to think of an MBT with a longer service record). I can't wait to see what 50 tons looks like in one sixth).
Thanks Gill and Mark - hope it's a well deserved success.
Now, how do I break this news at home.........

Re: New Look Web Site – New Model Release!!!!
Hi
Like the new web site colours. The little blue button under my avatar, goes direct to my photo bucket presence. You get to see all my uploads!
Don't know whether it's because I'm currently in mid Wales and on my iPad, that any images on the forum are cut off on the right side?
Never been able to access the shop from my iPad, still can't. Is there prices for the new Centurion? I want several!!
Regards
John
