cool photo. Are those original rounds? Hard to fathom the projectiles would all be that crudely cast??? I would have thought most tank shells (projectile part) would have been machined? These look like they are sand cast? They do appear to have the copper bands for the rifling? Great reference, interesting subject.

Hello Bob,
the shells are archaeological find.
The shells are corroded by rust.
Even Russian shells were manufactured by machine.

And yes, the grenades have copper strips.
Even the 76 mm shells had copper bands.

Unfortunately, these are not my grenades.

The color of the boxes was mostly natural or field gray.


Unfortunately I only have pictures for 76 mm ammunition.
