A pram with Christie type suspension should be straightforward to engineer and would cope with kerbs very easily - marvellously comfortable for the new recruit too.

Looking at the sort of baby/child buggies that you see pulled behind bikes sometimes I have been struck by the thought that an enterprising shed-based engineer could create a niche market for excessively engineered child transport.

If I was more tech-savvy I would put in a small drawing to illustrate the ideas.

A little project for your paternity leave perhaps...
