The receiver is a Spektrum AR8010T thank you

The receiver is fed from Motor Control A.

Hi Clive,
I would buy a BEC 5A to supply the receiver.
The power out of the motor control (sabertooth) is very low, it can cause errors.
The bec should be 24v to 5v 5A which will be enough to supply the items connected to the receiver (eg servo's, lights)
The red wire from both motor control boxes (4x) should be disconnected on one (or both) sides.
Riny.

Thank.
You so much for your quick reply .I will order the unit. The red wires have been cut on motor controller B not on A I will do that.
I have also noticed all the black connectors going into the receiver have been trimmed to make them fit is that normal . Also please can you tell where to plug the power into the receiver Clive

Hi Clive
White (Futaba) orange (JR) sometimes yellow (Hitec) are the common signal wire colours. Definitely not black or brown which is usually common negative or red usually supply + positive.
Don't mix them up, it may blow something up or severely damage it.
I have used motor control A to supply the receiver in the hull via it's BEC. Disconnecting out coming red plugs from Motor control B's BEC which plugs into the receiver.
I believe the BEC's to be switch mode outputs from the motor control red boxes. What ever they are, some receivers dislike two incoming supply inputs. There were some conflicts wiring wise early on with the Chieftain build.
I'm not an expert on switch mode power supplies, other members might be. Just be careful you get the polarities correct otherwise it could become expensive.

Also never run 2 BEC or ESC with BEC, thats the reason the red wire on module B has been cut. If you use a seperate BEC (usually better) then cut the red wires on Module A also.
This is probably beyond some builders so best stick with what Armortek instruction say unless you know exactly what your doing.

There are two styles of servo plugs.
The Futaba style has a lip running down the side of the plug, which mates with a slot in their receivers, so that you can't plug them in the wrong way round.
Spektrum receivers don't have that slot, so you can't plug in a Futaba plug, even if it's the right way round, which is why the lip has been trimmed off.
When ordering leads, it can be a lottery as to whether you get plugs with the lip on or not, even when buying none Futaba coloured leads, which are the white/red/black ones.
Adrian.

Has anyone re-engineered the breach?I'm not happy with the aluminum barrel rubing on the aluminum breach I am considering using a Flanged Linear Ball Bushing.

I've not looked at this on the Chieftain but according to the manual, ES0704 is the recoil bush and the barrel should slide in this.
The recoil bush is usually nylon I think.

Hi, Adrian, thank you so much. That explains it the nylon sleeve isn't in the recoil kit, so it must have been provided with the original build. I haven't received that from the original owner..
I'm still tempted I know it's over the top to put a bearing in.

Yes, it came with the kit (shown in build section 36).
