Hi Allan,

Just checking in. How's the Firefly coming? Any updates?

Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim,

Its been too cold to do any painting at the moment so I've left the turret and started work on the barrel clap that fits on the rear deck. I've been tryuing to make a working metal version but I don't have the machining capabilities to make the clamping screw and the the soft soldered one breaks if the clamping nut is overtightened on the barrel. I shall finish the clamp soon and hopefully will have more time over the Chrismas break to make some good progress.

This weekend I bought myself a Blade mCX micro helicopter (4ch contra rotating baldes 7 1/2 inch dia) for indoor flying. It is an amazing performer, so I am learning to fly R/C helicopters. A lot more challenging than the tanks but its great fun - they come highly recomended

Hi Allan,

Understood. I look forward to seeing your work. Those helicopters are great. I don't have one but have thought about getting one. So much fun stuff out there, no wonder I'm broke.

Merry Christmas
Tim
