I'm not sure this weathering is my thing.....It seems a lot of work for little gain.

Glen if you reduce the amount of weathering scratches by say around 70% I think you will have it about right! It's not easy, it's easy to bugger it up for sure but stick with it you are almost there!

Thanks Phil,I think you are right as in the skill is not over doing it.I may give it another go.

It wasn't getting it whilst I was doing it,I just seem such hard work for such little gain.I feel happier doing the weathering after I've done the main colour.

I've been working on the turret,the rotation is working and the recoil motor is running but as the limit switches arnt connected and not plugged into the sound I'm not sure on its function yet.I decided I'd paint the brackets and the mantle.Ive managed to get some overspray inside so that will need putting right.I was trying to be cute and forward thinking so goofed whilst spraying the front of the turret.

The good thing is that although heavy the turret comes off easily enough so it wont be too difficult.to refit the motors and servo ect.I need to turn the tank around and work on its bum but I'll do as much as I can with the turret then tidy the wiring and put the various switches and battery isolator.

A Quick question to you all...how is the Cupola lid fitted on?I don't see a mention of it in the instuctions.I would like to spring load the lid spindle to give it a more secure open/close position.The other thing is my smoke fan comes on as soon as I power up the tank.I thought that the fan stays static untill the sound starts the engines up.

I'm thinking my next job will be Zimmeriting the turret sides,then finish and detail the turret lid.

All the electronic side is working with the exception of the motor sound needs trimming to start just before the tracks start moving.

Hi Glen

I haven't looked at the cupula as I haven't arrived to that stage yet but looking at the diagram on page 27 it seems that it does not tell one what screws to use. I also noticed that the "U" handle of the cupola is missing even though the two holes for it are present.

Regarding the smoke unit fan, I was under the impression that the fan only works if the smoke unit switch is ON. Will check it tomorrow.

Thanks Vince, I thought the same with the Cupola, I just thought I would come across the shaft and handle eventually.

My smoke system fan is on all the time the the tank is switched on regardless of weather the switch is on or off.

I checked the smoke fan on my model and as you say it is in circuit all the time. The fan does not work with the tank stationary. It only starts working when the tank starts moving. It must be a design feature.

Tell me how your treasure hunt for the shaft and handle goes.

I've got an issue with the smoke system, I programmed the sound system as in the instructions so it's progressive with the throttle settings and was hoping the smoke system was linked to that but it isn't.

The smoke fan comes on and stays on, as soon as I put the power on.I'm sure it's just going to be a zero setting in the Transmitter but being a Luddite it's beyond me to work it out. Any help would be appreciated.

I've been working on the Tigers bum,I did try a bit of smoke/soot detail on the exhaust covers but seeing as the will need Camoflage it will be painted over and redone.
Could anybody tell me what CEO641 is and where it goes...thanks.

Glen they fit to the front plate right next to the front fender hinges, they are sockets ( they should be drilled out really) for a winch post to lift the sprocket whilst in the field.

Ah! I see,Thank you for that Phil,I guessed they were something like that but I couldn't find a hole to match the size.
