Re: Yves Panther A update
Nice work Yves! Looks great. Very kind to include the two helper elves in the photos.
The camera noise could be from the electric motors. Can you put a metal shield around the camera? I had a model go "rogue" on me this summer (out of control). I traced the cause as best I could tell - to one of the receiver antenna wire touching a main drive motor. The motors put out a lot EMI in close proximity to the drive cases. Moving the receiver seems to solve the problem.
Best regards,
Bob

Re: Yves Panther A update
Hello Robert,
Yes i can put a metal shield around the camera, but is it not better to put a plastic shield around it?
Because the antenna of the camera is a little short about 3 cm, so if i put a metal shield around it
would that be not disturb the antenna?
About the reseiver, i put him on top of the sound module and my antennes i put downwards it is
possible that they come to close to the main motors, i will put them in a other direction.
Thanks for the help
Best regards Yves

Re: Yves Panther A update
Hi Yves,
Great questions. IF the electronic noise is truly coming from motors interfering with camera - then plastic shielding will most likely not block the noise. You could experiment with just a small alum shield around base of camera and sides - in direction of main motors - like a small tray. Connect the tray to main tank hull. I don't think it would block the antenna signal as there is already lots of metal around antenna. See if that solves the problem.
Does the camera have same noise on top of drivers hatch, outside of tank? Probably no, clearer signal in open air. In that case, the metal roof of tank would most likely be blocking out electronic noise from motors allowing the camera to perform better.
Just try to help and learn something as well!
Best regards,
Bob
