Hi Freddie
I wish you all the best. Once you are back on the Tiger II build please let us in on your secretive work. Your build photos are fun to follow.
I stumbled on these today in regards to your rear deck bolt comments. The space between the bolt head and the round recess looks very small in these photos. These are only meant for more reference, not to start a heated discussion on correct bolt size or anything. I can sympathize with your bolt size dilemma as I had the same problem on the Panther.
Disclaimer: Yes, this is a Panther and not a King Tiger
Kind regards
Tim

Blanks for the firer
Hi Freddie,
Do you have any troble from the felt wadding in the blanks? Do they couse a misfirer? Or do they burn up ?
People here made some blanks with a star at the end.But I never even seen
a blank carrage for these firers.
Thanks from Dan

Hi Dan.
The ones with a star im not sure they have a padding inside, i think they are pressed or something.
The ones im going to use have the padding and it should burn up but ofcourse things can happen as missfires.
We havent tested it yet in a Blankfirer.
I havent goten mine yet so .
Only with a shotgun and it sounded really nice.
And Tim im on hold for the shells, summer and stuff have made deep holes in my wallet.
Have found some bolts for the deck thou
Regards

Have started on the turret today as im waiting on the motion and sound packs.
Didnt really had anything else to do after work...funny my turret looks like a Jagd tiger???? weird:).
Zimmerit is going on this weekend and i hopefully will have completed the raw modeling. Bullet hits and impact holes will be applied at a later stage when i decide where to put them and where to chip the Zimm.
I have also worked on the muzzle break and the barrel again .
The hull will have some holes drilled to coutersink the cap screws in the front to hold the gearbox cover ...... wish id done it when the beast was apart.
And the rear deck....well that will take a long time. I like to redo the whole thing. Not a negative thing but i want it to be accurate so ill enjoy it.
And to end this report...have some good news. Im much better and i only have to report every year for 3 years and x my fingers.
And it has not all been bad ....i stopped smoking. Wich i should have done years ago ..
Happy trails all.....keep it up.

I woke up this morning and felt that is was a special morning.
Yeee its zimmerit morning. So i started with my son Linus holding the camera and as a moral support .
Started in my undies so you all know this is in the morning .
As Per pointed out i cant use as thick as i did on the pannier so i was carefull to hold it as approx 2 mm.
Feels good to be back in the saddle again.
And Per i have some other Modifications up my sleeve. You will like them i promise .
Enjoy all and happy trails.

And the final result.
I waited a little to long so i had to work hard to do the pattern. As a result i have to scrape 10cm of the back but no biggie.
A bit cloggy as on the pannier im afraid but it will do.
Dont want it to look machine made but human like .
More pictures will come during the day:).....im on fire!
Enjoy
