Hi Bob
A number of Stug's were built on PZIII M chasis
So had the different exhausts.
I just like the look of it as it is more on show.
I also have pictures of some stugs fording a river and some getting stuck!!!

Hello Derek.
I think what you have made looks fantastic, you fooled me on the first pics when i saw the flat disk in the first pic i thought of close defence weapon
but the final item looks awesome well done indeed.
Cheers Paul

Derek,
Thanks for the explaination, your machine work on the exhaust is great, I just thought it odd that a flat low tank like a Stug would have fording eq. Keep up the fantastic build. I love following your progress.

Hi Guys.
As the house move has stalled I managed to get to the STUG and
do a bit over the weekend.
It seems like months ago that I last got my hands dirty on this project.
You will notice the new rear panel and cone nuts (thanks Steve)
Also the new exhaust and mounting brackets, the bracket needs to have the support arms shortened. I had left them long as with the angle of the back plate I wanted to fit things in place and then cut to length.
Hope you like, Its good to be back

Hi Guys
I have been doing some work on the spare wheel holders
that go on the rear vent covers on the STUG.
I will post some pictures of the hatches fitted to the rear deck in a while.

Hi Guys
As promised some pictures of the rear hatches in place with the
wheel holders fitted.
Tomorrow I hope to do the loaders hatches on the roof and the fitting that
holds the machine gun shield in place that is fitted to the hatch.

Derek,
I finally caught up with your Stug build thread! No bad since you told me about it back in September
It's a pity you couldn't have done the work on your knees yourself as you wouldn't have had to go back and had them done again judging by the build quality of your work
Excellent work and can't wait to see the finished model in the flesh.

Hi Guys
Got my motor pack today
So I will hope to get the drive motors installed
over the weekend cold weather permitting.
My workshop was minus 5 deg last night.
Then I can work out gun elevation and pivoting from left to right.
I have more room in the fighting compartment than the turret on
the standard PZIII turret.

Hi Guys
So I have been busy sorting out the elevation and turn for the gun on the Stug. The problem is that almost everything has to hang on the back of the gun as there is no turret to turn.
I also want to use the parts as supplied in the motion pack, where I can for speed and to save some money too.
I have come up with an interesting solution I think and I will share some pictures here tomorrow.
In the meantime I have made some other parts and started to mount them on the Stug including a new vision port. It has to be one of the most difficult parts to make to get the pivoting shield to to clear the port housing.
I Have also mounted the smokers.
And the track hanger that was for protection at the front of the fighting compartment.
I hope you like.
