Just wondering
Dose anyone know how many links per side go on the panther A tank?

Hi Ross,

On all Panthers (Ausf D, A, G and Jagdpanther) it was 86 links / side.

After completing the steel tracks , I found out the track link can not sit on the centre of the driving teeth. So this need a minor alternation between the distance of the two driving teeth. For measurement, it need to be wider for 2 mm. But I just put two 0.75mm spacer to enlarge . That is 1.5 mm. And the outcome is very good. Here is the photos.

I would prefer to make a 'starhex' spacer fitting the shape of the sprocket.........

After widen the two driving teeth for 1.5mm, and below is the test run. It sound good. Actually 1.5 to 2 mm are both fine.

I also made test runs with the unchanged sprocket width before driving outside, and all these runs at the testing bench were satisfying. Only in the field, with turns upon grass and earth, my problems began........

I got these tracks for my panther A some fit well some way off, a wish I saved my casb :?
