Yes its a Pz III ausf M deep swimming exhaust which I wanted to make for the Stug as that is the model I have based my build on.
This need some mods to the lower back plate to make it fit.
I have some more parts to make before I silver solder things together...

more pictures to follow soon...

That's a superb bit of machining Derek :D :D

At the end of the first set of photos, I thought you were making a hurricane lantern

Derek,
I couldn't have guessed in a million years what it was sorry - even with the clues. :? But beautiful work. I love the look of machined brass.

You're not going to make your Stug into a U-boat are you?

Hi Guys
I have soldered up the exhaust and here are 3 pictures of the finished result.
I have sand blasted it to get it cleaned up and to get a key for painting

I just need a small amount of filler and then it gets painted.
I have small bolts to go in the flanges.
I added a stub pipe to the imputs to get into the hull of the tank after these pictures were taken.

Hi guys
I have nearly finished the smoke dis-chargers for the side of the fighting compartment.
I have to thank Steve Winstone for the information to make these parts.
The back plate and tubes are the same as used on the tiger and other tanks but to fit the Stug the plate is bent to different angles I found some good photos
on the web of a Stug in Trieste with the real thing to get these bends done.
so here are a few pictures of my efforts.

Obviously my finger will not be installed on the real thing.
I still have some wires and detail things to add to the backs of the tubes.

Hi Brad
That's a cool drawing I am going to make the water tight covers and the
tow hook which is different to the one in the kit.
But until I move house the workshop is too full of boxes to get to anything
on the stug.

Hi Derek and Brad,
Forgive my ignorance, but why would a stug have fording equipment? They are so low to the ground it seems like they would'nt be able to ford much water? I can see why on a tank with a turret that is a bit higher but an assault gun is low rider?

No offense, just asking.....

Thanks,
Bob
