Simon

We spoke at Yeovilton and I guess both of us were inspired by some of the models and techniques used by the 1/35th community. I do thinkk the technicques transfer and can be developed for 1/6th. You've got the skills already but I can see your masterful JagdP going on to new heights with more and more layers of colour and weathering. Thanks for taking the trouble to share and to inspire.

It would be good to build on your work and Noel and Dales' in Aus.

You may have seen the new weathering mags published by AK. The first one on Rust sold out pretty quickly but you can get them online here:

http://www.pocketmags.com/viewmagazine. ... g+Magazine

The second one on Dust is pretty good.

There are also some good references in AFV Modeller and you can get pdf copies online for a pound a go.

All the best and keep posting.

Stephen

thanks graham and stephen,i know it is hard to keep replying to posts and a bit of same old, same old, but i do take a bit of encouragement from them, graham if you think my jp looks o.k. wait till one of the plastic construction boys gets hold of a 1/6 build and paints it, another point i.ve learnt the small kit builders spend a lot of time painting thier kits, a month or more on and off, also the product range is enormous to choose from, thanks again simon.

Simon,
I can only say what I've already said. Your JP is magnificent, the paint and weathering are astounding - it truely gets better and better. It looks as if your model is now the real 1:1 battle worn vehicle. Superb work.
Best regards,
Bob

this is my last jagdpanther post, i have a few little jobs left, aerial, track rope, rubber seals on hatches, periscopes, some electrical internals, lights etc, and i will keep playing with the paint, all the motion pack is fitted and works well even though i wont drive the tank much, it's been very enjoyable to build, the forum input has been superb, i hope it's been of interest to others, i am off over to the kingtiger section now, thanks for looking, regards simon.

thank you all very much, part of the satisfaction is knowing builders look and enjoy the project, i watch all the builds on here from out of the box to extreme mods, and enjoy them all, what makes it good is builders bother to post, many mouth watering engineering projects way beyond my skills, electrical upgrades, its great to see them all, so if my little contribution helps all the better, sounds like a speech, thanks for the bunch of flowers as kent says, regards simon.
