Hetzer Build now complete

Post by Tony Devlin »

Hi Guys...I have just completed my Hetzer and I have to say, I have enjoyed every second of the build. Massive thanks again to Adrian Harris, who helped with the final setting up. It runs like a dream. I have attached a few pics of the completed model and you can see the entire build and see this great tank in action on my YouTube Channel.

First time doing a camo & paint weathering scheme on this scale and although it is not perfect, I am very pleased with the results.

Lord, give me strength to change the things I am able to change.... and patience to endure the things I can not change :-) A bunch of Tiger and Panther variants, a few 88`s and smaler ones like Hetzer, Stug III, etc. and soon a Leo II

I think it looks absolutely fantastic Tony, and think you have got the weathering spot on to make it authentic for the time it was in action.
Paint chipped on wheel nuts showing ongoing maintenance and a little bit of dirt and grime representing the combat conditions it was in at the time.
Great work, beautiful model.

Having followed the build on Youtube I am very impressed with the end result. Your build provided the motivation I needed to get my own Hetzer rebuilt and I used some of your build tips to make my own Hetzer better. I still need to sort out the camoflage pattern though and I definitely need to do the 'fake' welds.

Thanks Daniel and Gary. Your kind positive comments are very much appreciated. I just love building these kits and actually the Hetzer has surprised me in how much I enjoyed the entire build. Glad that I have helped you Daniel in getting stuck back into your Hetzer.

I am by no means an expert on this forum and the level of skills shown on here is super impressive, so to receive such positive reaction to my channel and rare posts on here is indeed very humbling for me. I just love these AT kits and feel very privileged to be in a position to handle and work with such amazing engineering. I continue to keep learning and developing my own skills and I hope to continue with my journey through this amazing hobby.

Warm regards

Tony
