The supplier of the paint I use is attempting to gauge what level of interest there is in the formula for dark yellow/ yellow beige aka 'dunkelgelb'
That I've been using for my models.
The target price is $32-35 per quart (946 ml) not including postage. There should be a limited supply available in a few weeks and if sufficient interest
more to follow.
I have used this on my Sd Kfz 7, FlaK 37 88 and I'm presently using it on my King Tiger with plans to use it on several others and smaller scales ( using Hardener). It is intended to be thinned prior to spraying and at a minimum of 45psi. A quart should more than be sufficient for most 1/6 scale models.
You can see it in action in my construction threads however I'll re-post some of the photos here.
If you are interested please PM me and I'll add your name to the list.
Jerry

Re: Paint, dark yellow
I forgot to mention that when used as I have, without the hardener, nearly any quality paint may be applied over the dark yellow as camouflage color...

Hi Jerry,
Do you still have this dark yellow paint available? Just starting a build. Please advise and thanks!

Re: Paint, dark yellow
Sorry no, at the time there was no interest so I released the fellow from his promise to make it up for me.
The paint I have I'm keeping for my own projects.
Just realized in my original post I misspelled dark yellow- dunkelgelb... how goofy of me!
The paint was never cheap but as it was intended for performance aircraft to be used with a hardener but can be used without equally well
it filled a real gap for me as I still need a fuel-proof paint as I continue to work with my glow/alcohol fueled models
and that fuel eats normal paint like a five year old with an ice cream cone.. The fellow who made it for me is a genius
with paint formulation and I tell you when used with hardener this paint is nigh on impossible to remove. His paint is on many
commercial aircraft and even one version of Airforce 1...
It's unfortunate there was no interest back when I posted this.
